Wouldn't be surprised to see a fine handed out; also wouldn't be surprised to see the whole thing ignored.

i was disappointed with him getting the pen call...would luved to see him stay on the ice to finsih the game and see if a hawk had some stones to drill that dufus

so nuks and flames have g3 luvfest tonight...that was quite a bout the other night...bolig right in the middle of it....

I plan to watch that one for sure.

Jets & Ducks level of violence almost frightening. Don't know how these guys can do it game-after-game.

No one is expecting Kimmo from 10 years ago, but he was still a good player last season. 35 points and 150+ shots while blocking over 110 of them. That's still a player that makes an impact. He also played much heavier minutes.

It's not easy to get anything going when you're limited to just 10 minutes a night as a defense-man. He hasn't really hurt the team so ideally he'd be getting more to take pressure off, but if he continues to be scarcely used he'll continue to make no impact. Might be time to take a chance and give him 16-17 minutes and see if he can get anything going.

Exactly. The only purpose KT serves is relieving the top 4 D of heavy minutes. With the last change, I was expecting Q to give him some more ice time via offensive zone draws. The guy is still pretty painful to watch even if he isn't making bad plays.

Hossa was a beast this afternoon. Shame he couldn't net one but he was everywhere.

Loved Desi's game and how bout that 4th line with Shaw Krugs and Desi...

Hawks conservative shutdown game at the end was perfect. Just wanted an empty netter.

Loved the PP at the end because all the Hawks had to do was pass the puck and not shoot - which is what they do best.

Another big game on Tuesday...

what a jag bag...neither ref sees the sucker punch into a player on the bunch...

one of the many reasons I despise NHL officiating...you telling neither of ref saw that...the puck was just there....

I have a feeling the league might step in with a fine on that one.

Also take issue on the slew foot of Sharp after he (rightfully) aimed a clapper at Ellis' cup.

1st game since G1 of the WCF last year against the Kings that the Blackhawks allowed less than 3 goals. CC started every one of them:

vs. LA 6, 4, 5, 4, 3, 5; vs. NASH 3, 6

That's a solid line that needs to stay together for the time being.

You may be right
but to be honest...I could care less about fines. It's the playoffs and all that counts are wins.

Great game played by the Hawks. There three players IMO that have contributed very little so far. Timomen should be replaced by Comiskey and bring up Johns ( + 30 ) , Richards way to slow for second line ( bring back TT to play center with Sharp and Kane ) , bench Versteeg or put him on the third line and bring up Danault to spot the the third line center if Vermette is not hustling. I know one one thing that would happen. The team speed would go up by 30%.

Didn't catch the three stars but mine are
Toews, Hosa and Saad

Desjardins was great and Darling's rebound control was spot on. The guy played for the Louisiana Ice Gators last year for God's sake!
Thought the Hawks beat a very good and prepared Preds team

An exciting fast game!
Not sure what this board expects?

Playoffs in the West are a grind among all grinds in Sport
Great win and a great 60 minute effort...well done Boys

Along these lines, thought Rozsival played much better today.

So the Hawks took advantage of the first game played fully...

...without Fisher and Weber.

Hawks must take advantage of their absence.

Liked that the Hawks limited NASH to 9 SOG in the 3rd, when the Preds needed to throw everything they had against them. Forwards came back, the centers were responsible and intercepted a few passes in the slot, forwards pressed the points, d moved the puck. Nice job all around.

This can't be emphasized enough. He had a very good game. Perhaps a much better defensive partner in Keith was all he needed.

Forwards seemed to do a better job of helping the D down low. The high slot wasn't wide open most of the game, in contrast to the first 2 of this series.

Yes maybe the veterans are a little more predicable then the younger players in their own zone .

Bingo, Refs skating around with no purpose.

I know this is old news, but Edmonton again? Stan should be on the phone with them selling Rundblad, hell they need any kind of defenseman.

Q at post game presser, "we make decisions based on performance." *

Wow! Just saw the replay of the game, Ribiero a total doosh. I've never liked that (frank)er.

Good win! Looked a lot more like playoff Hawks today!

So after letting everything go for 17 minutes, the refs call MacArthur for that?
