So after letting everything go for 17 minutes, the refs call MacArthur for that?
What the....? - ArlingtonRob
It's called Bettman Parity. |

It's been that way forever.
The salary cap brought extreme parity. |

Q at post game presser, "we make decisions based on performance." *

Every time I think of his wicked shot, I get haunted by the memory of that OT winner against Crawford and the 'Hawks. It was one of the best shots I have ever seen to this day. |

When he has time and space...ya just brace yourself.
Reminds me of Al Iafrate and Al MacInnis back in the day. |

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but Versteeg was on the second line and Sharp...who has been a force so far...was down to the third. TT was a scratch?
I don't get it... |

And since hawks won you can almost gaurntee the lines won't change |

So then anytime a puck hits a player on the bench it should be a delay of game? - powerenforcer
Keith's legs were over the boards and in play. His ass was on the top of the boards. My opinion is there should have been a too many men call there. |

I like the boys game today ... Q is did the right thing starting Darling and Dejardin ..
Go with the same combos next game except bench verstegg for TT and we will take game 4 and end it in nashville ... Oduya looked off today , is he injured maybe ? |

The only chance the Hawks have to end it that soon is for Nashville to stay out of the penalty box. |

Not sure...
...with Q, anything is possible.
Except Versteeg...at this point Q would likely sit Toews before the indispensable 'Steeger. |

A win is a win and I'll definitely take it, but the defense really needs to step up. Hammer with 5 (5!) giveaways today. Timonen continues to not have any impact whatsoever on the game. Oduya hasn't done much either. Keith and Seabrook NEED to be generating more shots on net. - TommyHawk
In the end isn't that what you want your five and six defensemen to have no impact on the game? |

Yes...well, no negative impact...otherwise neutral is fine. |

Was thinking the same. If we aren't hearing the 3rd pair's names (and they're playing) they are doing ok |

The predators are very aware of the third line due to bickell and sharp playing the body
I don't really like the makeup of the second line but i dont want to change the other three lines
With the last change Q can get the match ups he wants and that is really important for the first line being productive |

Hard to fathom that today's OT winner from Tavares at the 0:15 mark was...
...the 6h fastest OT winner.
5 times goals were scored more quickly...really?
Or was it the 5th fastest? |

Yep. Steeger plays better with Kane. Q probably has him on that line because with Kane is where he's most useful--and perhaps to bring some grit and open a little space for Kane.
I think Q is just trying to balance the lines for match-up problems for the Preds. |

They use the NHL rule book, he was on the bench. Player has to be 'on the ice' to be on the ice. |

Yea that entire using the rule book thing is an issue.
If Nash wants to be salty over that call ... let 'em. |

From Rule 74.1 "Too Many Men on the Ice"
A player coming onto the ice as a substitute player is considered
on the ice once both of his skates are on the ice. |
