The Oil getting the number 1 pick proves the draft lottery is NOT fixed...

...and I would suggest after this year, the draft lottery SHOULD be fixed.

Good grief....Edmonton getting another number 1 is just a waste.

Swear the broadcast said 6 years in a row. Didn't sound right but I went with it.

Someone suggested McDavid stay at BU for 4 years then go UFA

- ehawk

Actually, it's Jack Eichel that's at BU. McDavid plays in Juniors for the Erie Otters, but he is 18 and in theory could go to college next year.

But he's ready to play against men, so he'll go pro.

Blues steal game 2...back to the twin cities even at 1 apiece.
- ArlingtonRob

Steal? Darling stealing game 1 is a more accurate description than the Blues stealing game 2

interesting - some questionable non calls late in the gam in the blues favor. Slash on Scandella's hands, then Scandella gets his stick broken. Also coyle hits the crossbar after being semi tripped after a nice move. That's the breaks though
- Topshelf2010

Officiating was pretty consistent....thought the slash for the stick break would get a call. the other stuff you mentioned was going both ways (tank got tripped a handful of times and the blues caught a couple of sticks in the face that didn't warrant penalties in the stripes' eyes)

Did Parise score and it was taken away because of goalie interference? Thought I heard something along those lines

I had an idea after a couple of glasses of wine at dinner:

Crawford for Joe Thornton straight up. Sharks get a goalie, Hawks get a second line center who will hopefully tone down his "cancer in the locker room" tendencies. Of course, Sharp, Bickell, Vermette, and Richards are all gone next year. But we have a true second line center for a couple of years until one of the kids can take over the job.

Darling and Raanta as our goalies. Then stop signing any other players to overpaid, over-term, NTC contracts from here on out!!! Seriously, Stan!

Is this just the wine talking?

First of all...what do the Hawks have to do with the Blues vs. Wild?

My comment was purely emotional and admittedly nonsensical and based entirely upon my dislike for the loathsome Blues franchise.

Nothing personal...

Haven't you heard that Stoll was arrested in Vegas for possession of Cocaine and Ecstasy (MDMA)?

Nope. He did get a penalty for goalie interference but there was no disallowed goal. All pucks that entered the net counted.

Might have been a weak call too...haven't seen the replay but my eye in real time wondered if he got pushed or how much he might have gotten pushed.

DD got away with two massive slashes on the back of Ott's calves. Figured you guys would want to know.

Dubnyk was doing his best Billy Smith/Ron Hextall impression today.

Ahhh, the good ol' days.

I only got to watch some of the game last night. What happened to Weber?

How quickly things can change.

Blues had questions in goal and Allen has stepped up and looked great. Elliott is very capable of coming in relief if he comes back down to earth.

Crawford looks like he can't stop anything. Darling was great the other night though. Unbelievable actually. But if the Hawks turn to him and he doesn't play lights out, that could be a tough hit with Crawford already struggling.

Weber took a clean hit from Saad last night...right leg was in bad position. Might be an ankle?

Unfortunate...but now we'll see if the Hawks can take advantage of his absence...which they most certainly did NOT last night.

I'm hoping that we can pawn CC off on Edmonton for Draisaitl. If they want Sharp too, fine by me.

What a shock...K. Hayes involved in a bad exit, great pass and tip-in by Crosby...

...past the bestest goalie ever Henrik Lundqvist. How is that possible?

Yeah, after watching the video of it, it does look like his ankle gave way.

That could be a huge loss for Nashville....

As you know doubt know, I've been backing CC for ever...and his play has been a surprise. One period sure, but last night he seemed shaken...way off his game.

Not what I expected after the way put the club on this back down the stretch.
