Looks like the Icehogs are settling for 2nd in the division. Rested a number of guys and trail the Marlies 3-0 in third.
Too bad since Gran Drapids lost it's finale to Charlotte opening the door for Rockford.
Oh well...they had a great year and it's on to the playoffs. |

Now that was a PP! Talk about speed and pressure.
Fluery did everything possible to kill it himself, but it wasn't enough |

Wow, anyone watching the Rangers/Pitt game?
Rangers just had one of the best minute + of power play time I have seen in a while. Tons of great chances and finally converted on like the 6th shot of the power play. |

Good...
I find myself pulling for the Pens...hope for a long series.
Besides, K. Hayes can go F' himself...with all due respect.
...and it looks like hostilities are picking up.
Could be an entertaining, long and nasty series. |

That game was a complete gongshow.
I don't mind some of the key players getting the night off. What pisses me off is that Dent rolled with Carruth. The Hogs would have been better off with a cardboard cut-out of Darling zip-tied to the goal.
So much for wanting a division title... |

The Oil getting the number 1 pick proves the draft lottery is NOT fixed...
...and I would suggest after this year, the draft lottery SHOULD be fixed.
Good grief....Edmonton getting another number 1 is just a waste. - ArlingtonRob
How did THAT happen?
Forget the lottery. The NHL needs to take the four worst teams in the league and make them play a tournament for the top four picks in the draft. Run it in a round-robin style, then a first-place and third-place game to decide picks one through four. The winner of the tournament gets the #1 pick in the draft.
Bettman can run this tournament in a different city every year, in a city without an NHL team. Possibly in a place they would like to park an expansion team, or overseas as a "showcase" thing (like the NHL Premiere gimmick). |

Haven't seen much of Carruth at all...so what you're saying is...Carruth probably doesn't have a high ceiling? |

Carruth seemed to inch past Simpson in the depth chart before Simpson was traded...though that really isn't saying much. Appears the Hawks most promising goalie prospects are overseas right now. |

Can't believe the Oil gets the pick WTF...hot garbage...pretty bummed for Buffalo.
How many #1's do the Oil get before they call uncle on a rebuild.
Of course if Stan got that pick he'd trade it for Chelios or Lindstrom to prop up that third d pair...
Meanwhile the Pens came to play tonight...good game. I'm with ya Rob a nice long series there.
Jets up by 1 on the Ducks... Anyone else catch the classy move by Kessler on the head shot with the elbow in the first? |

Vermette hasn't played because he was pretty worthless down the stretch. He hadn't played a meaningful game in a long time. I don't think he was ready for it.
