I hope Eichel goes #97. Just to (frank) with McDavid. - theblueandgold

And if Kane doesn't score 30 goals next season for what was given up to get him, is it going to be considered an epic fail on Murray's end?
I am so stuck on that 1st rounder he gave up in that deal. - BuffaloHardHat
Why? It's likely to be in the 25-28 range. They already have the 31st pick. |

I was set on Eichel but know McDavid would go number 1 and why wouldn't you want that?
Still, call me crazy but I want the American kid on my American team. McDavid can put Preparation-H on his bum for the next few years and sulk and underperform on a team he clearly doesn't want to play for.
My god, the butt hurt on that kid's face when EDM won the lotto. It made the whole thing bitter-sweet. |

I'd sit tight with Eichel, and use those would-be assets to address needs in goal and/or top 6 forward.
Does Girgorenko, Larrsson, and a 2015 first rd pick (via NYI) land you Ryan O'Riley?
Pat Roy may see value in Grigorenko. He has shown improvement & another year in the AHL might do the trick.
Roll 3 lines:
Ennis/Eichel/Kane
Moulson/Reinhart/O'Riley
Foligno/Girgensons/Gionta - SuperCat
I don't see the Avs trading for 2 centers. They have MacKinnon and Duchene for their top-2 lines. |

I wanted the more talented one. That's McDavid. Don't care is he is from Canada or not. Richelieu being American makes no damn difference to me.
we have Eichel. Time to move on from it.
Also McDavid face I loved who the eff wants to go to Edm anyways. Virtually 20 out of 30 fan bases will rarely see him play on national tv and he knows that.

Any team can make a trade after the deadline.
Those players are just ineligible to play in the playoffs.
It is generally frown upon by the league as it takes away from the teams still playing. |

Thanks. I forget that there are 2 of you Sabres fans out there. That's awesome. Did you deposit on seasons for the potential Vegas club? |

Ewwwww.....
Maybe trade him at the draft then?
What would we have to give up to pry Dustin Brown & M. Jones out of L.A.?
We can offer them cap relief for sure!!!
Brown, Toffoli, Pearson, Carter, Gaborik, Justin Williams... I'll take any of those guys.
Heck, I might even consider taking Mike Richards (as my 4th line center) just as long as M. Jones is tossed in!!
Roll 4 lines anyone? - SuperCat
They wouldn't want, and I wouldn't give up much for Brown.

I said a couple weeks ago they should offer sheet both Toffoli at $5.5 and Jones at $3.5. They don't have the money to re-sign both. Yost floated this idea originally. |

Grigs scored in today's Amerks game. Reinhart had the secondary assist. |

It's tough to say. The Kings missed the playoffs but defensively they are a solid team. I think $3.5 a year is a salary where if you're wrong on him you don't get skewered. |
