Watch the Sabres get last place for two more years in a row. That way, the Bills lost 4 superbowls in a row and the Sabres lose out on the #1 pick 4 times in a row.
WE COME FULL CIRCLE, BOYS. - awildmudkip
They will be drafting top five I think will improve next year but we won't be as bad so it should be a good year and fun team to watch imo |

I'M SO (frank)ING HAPPY
But I Kinda really feel bad for the coyote fans The franchises is dead now
All of the fans say they can't take another tank season because that will be it for the franchise - gerbe75pts
I feel for the fans, but support your damn team, then.
Although, who knows? Maybe they deal the pick for a minor King's ransom.

The Oilers have done the Least with the Most. Rebuilding teams shouldn't need a decade and 4 #1's to sniff .500 hockey - RynoBull
They've needed D help for probably 4 years now. Yet have barely done anything to address it. Instead, they've had a carousel of goalies, as if that was going to solve the problem.
The team has been poorly mismanaged. There's no denying that. Honestly, them getting #1 overall isn't really helping them at this point. Not unless they take some of the assets they have and move them for some help on the back end. They would have been better off drafting in 3rd, right where they finished the season, and then take Noah Hanifin. |

lots of picks? yeah.
ability to sign free agents to help and insulate? no
ability to trade for big names with ntc's? no
pitts had 5 lotteries in a row.
as did Quebec
as did Ottawa I believe.
like those squads, we're actually just on our 5th top 5 if we're gonna get technical on the oilers struggles.
but point is, the sabres haven't done anything yet. and until they do, you don't really have a leg to stand on saying you've done more with less.
turn it around and we'll have that conversation.
im sure you have an idea when you think youll turn it around. much like oiler fans did.
but best laid plans dont always work out... - Ihateallofu
sure they did...they showed that they could sign legitimate nhl free agents while also convincing players with no-trade clauses to come to buffalo...
that's huge, my friend

With all do respect, the Sabres brought in Gorges, Gionta and Moulson. Going into this season everybody within the Sabres knew this was going to be a bad team. Bringing in those 3 guys was a step in the right direction, Murray also mentioned in the beginning of the season that UFA's will be dealt at the deadline as to not lose them for nothing and he did that but people consider that a tank? The Leafs were in a playoff spot, fire Carlyle and all of a sudden, fall off the face of the earth but that's ok?
The Oilers in no way shape or form deserve to get McDavid, when you finish last, your team deserves that pick and the Oilers do not. You can spin it any way you want but they do not deserve to get McDavid.
It was a 2 year plan to get the best players possible between last years draft and this years draft, Murray made that clear countless times. you say the Oilers are in a rebuild ( STILL ) you say the management is bad, the coaches are bad so because of that you deserve McDavid? I don't agree. You owner is as clueless as your management team.
We will draft a great player in Eichel but stop coming on here talking crap about the Sabres and the organization when the Oilers are the biggest joke in hockey. - SABRES 89
you can feel however you like. theres no spinning. youre acting like a petulant child who feels cheated from something that was never theirs.
imo, theres no deserving outside of home team allegiance.
I don't think think buffalo deserved it anymore than the kings did.
why do the sabres deserve anythin? because you like the sabres. that's it. you think youre owed something? youre not.
but there a bunch of people who don't like the sabres and theyre unhappy with the results too.
too bad.

Not to mention, adding a potential franchise center to an already great pool of prospects, and the good young talent already on this roster, there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. |

But NOBODY will be able to duplicate how bad the Oil have (frank)ed things up so badly after getting all those picks.
You HAVE to admit they've been the definition of epic fail |

I forgot who said it yesterday but the person said offense wins championships or something that was one of the Edmonton people
So I guess they're clueless lol
If I was Edmonton I would first gut a team like buffalo for D help and then trade Eichel gut the coyotes get OEL then take hanifin 3rd |

connor mcdavid!!!! - Ihateallofu
I always liked the Oilers. When I moved into my new house and changed cable providers, I no longer get CBC or any Canadian telecast. Which sucks because I miss the second game of HNIC now and the Canadian coverage of the Olympics. Does not make sense why a cable provider in Buffalo does not carry Canadian TV.
I will now buy the NHL ticket just so I can watch the Oilers and McDavid. Something about watching a game from Rexall Place always seemed right to me.

not true. they drafted klefbom and nurse.
and signed ference, fayne, nikitin and whatever other warm body would agree to sign there for an overpay (belov, grebeshkov, foster, Sutton etc etc)
not to mention, the number of players that refused a trade to edm when asked to waive ntc
these ideas that become fact somehow on social media is so weird. theyre myths, propagated by easy answers. but not true at all. |

Honestly, EDM would be smart to rape the hell out of both Buffalo and Arizona for the #1 and #2 picks. IMO, McDavid isn't worth it all and his reaction to EDM winning the lotto shows he's just another spoiled brat.
I'm actually quite happy with Eichel and he seems to like Buffalo poon (IM COMING FOR YOU was directed at a girl from Buffalo he supposedly gets it on with "part-time") so 10/10.

You are spinning it by saying because your GM and Management team are clueless that's ok and you deserve the pick and you don't. Call it what ever you want, the Oilers don't deserve to pick McDavid and there is nothing childish as to me feeling that way. |

I can think of one person and his agent who could...
I'm sure he won't, though. But, he could. |
