I agree with the above. I am also concerned that he is going to throw everything including the kitchen sink at getting ROR. From my chair, I would rather GMTM took showed some patience and let Jack, Zemgus, Sam, Risto, Z etc gel together before making their run. I don't want to gut our prospect pool in the chase for McJesus or ROR. We now have our prize (Jack) for being putrid for the past two years. Let's be patient and build around him and the others.

Its funny how something like this, which may be all a misunderstanding, should at least get an explanation, but will anyone in the media have the nerve to question the comish about it? Probably not and I doubt he'd answer it regardless, but this is exactly why people can't understand why a bunch of balls with logos on them aren't spun, then drawn in numerical order until 14 are chosen.

Sometimes simplicity is bliss, and leaves less room for "error". Jokes on Bettman though, as with being a Canadian team the average US fan won't be interested in watching that team, especially with a general 9-10 EST puck drop time, so marketing is out the window for most of the country's "sorta interested about hockey crowd".

Adding McDavid and subsequently Babcock, would have made for an offseason for the ages!!

I assume Mr. Pegula became a successful businessman due to a good dose of objectivity (vs emotions) when making business decisions. I gotta believe that he is a smart guy who has surrounded himself with smart advisor's and they know that gutting the team to get McJesus (or ROR) isn't the proper thing to do. After all, I am sure Mr. Pegula doesn't want to see an opening day first line of McDavid with Matt Ellis and Zac Dalpe as his wingers.......
