Agreed. It's in no way a denial of McDavid's awesomeness, but it's not worth it to gut your top end prospects at the same time

Yeah I do not even want to consider the cost of a trade to move up...Sabres are in great shape and TM knows it, why pay though the nose w prices u r depending on to build a winner. No way!

Yup, no way we should mortgage the future on TM's boy crush. Maybe trade Gringo and the other first for ROR, grab Matt O'Conner (There is your Connor GMTM), and see what happens. Nobody is expecting anything but progress in the next couple years so he can just keep building off this great young "Core"...

Sure you can. When he was coming out of junior Lindros had as much hype as McDavid, if not more. Generational talent, franchise-changer, first ballot HOF'er... they all got thrown at the big kid.
