They just said he's done for the year on 1040. - hankthetank
Pardon? I just heard them say that it was mentioned on twitter attached to a Gary Valk post but that he didn't write it, and said it was unverified. |

His back is badly injured. People on Twitter are saying that he needs surgery, but none are credible sources. - Gullzy
Back injuries are notoriously difficult to heal properly and equally difficult to predict the timing of that healing. That said, all the secrecy around it does look odd. Almost like Kassian personally insulted someone in the Canuck brass. |

are both lines scoring? no. Calgary feels that their top line is equal to ours right now. Maybe if adding vrbata to the sedins they won't feel that way and will need to match up a different line. Allowing higgins, burrows and bonino to take on their top line. Moves the first line against different line on calgary allowing our third and fourth lines to have different match ups also. - manvanfan
I'm pretty much okay with trying anything. Especially late in a game and being down a goal or two.
Our fore check has eased up a bit too. I believe when the fore check is going we are more effective. When guys are pissed off and looking to demolish someone with a big hit is where they are out of their element and it goes sideways.

Price said he was told by someone a couple days ago that Kassian was out for the year. Either way, Kassian isn't playing this round. |

I know this won't be a popular trade proposal but I would offer the Bruins Vrbata for Luc. They both have one year left on their contract. They are 1 mil apart in salary.
Bruins get a 30 goal scorer and we get a younger much tougher 20 -25 goal scorer.
Sedin Sedin Burrows
Lucic Bo Sven
Kenins McCann Hansen - VANTEL
Lucic has some physiological problems man. Also can we save the trade proposals for after the season is done? It's a long summer... |

I like the idea but simply because of age and the physicality that Lucic brings over vrbata, Kassian or another prospect may have to be added. It's a starter though. bringing in Lucic would allow me to not hate having Sven in the top 6. |

We could but where's the fun in that?
I throw it out there while it is fresh in everyone's mind about being manhandled . Vrbata is a great goal scorer but has yet to prove he is a PO player. |

they literally didn't wake up till the last 10 minutes of the game yesterday. I don't remember a sustained shift to change momentum or anything until the last 10 minutes. Not going to win any hockey games like that. What they are doing right now, not really working. Looked like the WPG Jets of old trying to break out. Forwards are leaving the zone way too early. |

Based on how they played last night or in the first 2 games?
Game 1 was even. Canucks should have won. Game 2 the Canucks dominated. Game 3 the Canucks got dominated. It's been an even series so far. Should be 2-1 Canucks. - hankthetank
For me it's not about the results of the first three games. Just noticing a vast difference in emotional and physical intensity between the two teams. I expected Canucks to have an edge going into the series because of their playoff experience.
But it seems the Flames have already reached that extra gear, where the canucks are just starting to find it.

They really need more of a net front presence. It helps make room for the other 2 forwards and bothers the goalie.
Some of that life at the end was just frustration. I agree about the forwards not supporting the d. Getting ahead of themselves and ends up hurting more than creating any great offensive opportunities.
They need more of a team commitment to playing a hard nosed physical game. Kenins needs to sit again to get him playing like he was. |

I don't think Vrbata gets it done, and personally I couldn't cheer for Lucic, I can't stand him. My guess is Edm makes a big push for him, say Yakapov + for him this offseason and Edm has their tough winger to play with McDavid. |
