I think everyone would be shocked how many players do cocaine in the NHL cuz there's probably a lot - gerbe75pts
doesn't that come up in a drug test though? I mean, dudes have been suspended for using sudafed for gods sake!

It's probably because for whatever reason, goaltending is not something the Sabres have generally ever struggled with. It seems they can plug any guy in back there and get a decent amount of success out of him.
Lindback is a prime example of that. Enroth and Neuvirth both looked good prior to their trades as well.
There's plenty of options available to them and there's lots of guys coming up through the system. Plus they do still have Chad Johnson signed for next year. It's not like they have 0 bodies that can play the position. - HonkFortheGoose

48 hrs and it's usually gone.
Alcohol stays in your system longer. |

Frankly, I would give Lindback a modest raise and sign him for a couple of years.
then look for a veteran UFA to back him up and see what happens.
If he blows it and we have to send him down, it's not like we have to deal with a 4 million dollar goalie on our cap to play in the minors.
We traded a overachieving nobody for him and then HE started overachieving. i had no problem with his play this year on the Sabres. Albeit, his sample size was small. Hence the modest raise and shorter term. - seedy
i just don't see Lindback as a netminder that can take the Sabres to the cup. Johnson either. i guess its all part of the buliding process

It's longer than that. 1 week and clean without taking helpers from the GNC. |

he is 19 this year. his birthday is November 6th. - awildmudkip
He's already 19. He'll be 20 in November. Which is what I said. This past WJC he was 19. So that means that in 2014 when he was in the WJC, he was 18. |

No. Not happening.

Maybe he wants to pull off a Schultz and then sign with whoever he wants....maybe tha "Buffalo I'm coming for you...." Means something else.... - EdEagle
I'd be more worried about McDavid not wanting to go to Edmonton, rather than Eichel coming to buffalo. Looks like someone shot his dog and than backed up over it after he saw Edmonton won the lottery. |

I highly doubt that would happen
But if it did, we would still be ok
Reinhart would center the top line
Grigorenko or Larsson would center the 3rd - jdfitz77
Crazy question. Why on earth do you think Reinhart who couldn't cut it in the league last year is going to suddenly step into your #1 center role? Crazy.
If Reinhart makes the team he will be the third center behind Girgs and Larsson (or a guy Murray brings in).
Also, for all of you eternal optimists out there...unless there are major UFA signings, this team is still a bottom 5 team with or without Eichel.
Stanley Cup Finals 2020-21.

I never said I would pass, which is why I said I was relieved on not winning the lottery. I would have taken McDavid, but I think Eichel is a better fit for Buffalo and the way the league is going forward. - thatsapickle

Lol, I've "heard" that as well. I'd be more concerned with the 8 grams of molly?! I mean, even if you have a lot of friends to hook up that is waaaaayyyy too much. (Also, just give it to them before walking through security) |

Eichel said it, but it was before the lottery...
“I’m really excited for the future, whatever that may be,” he said. “It would be really nice to play [in Buffalo]. There’s a lot of tradition there, and it’s obviously a great hockey city.”
Eichel has also pointed out the upside of staying in school -- a school that has already named him one of its alternate captains for 2015-16.
"It would be another great year of development, college hockey and life with coach [David] Quinn,” Eichel told the Boston Herald on April 12.
“There are positives to it any way you look at it. At the end of the day, when a decision has to be made, I will make it with my family and with my heart. I don’t want to be somewhere that I don’t want to be.” |

I'd go as far as to say even Grigo is in front of Reinhart at this point. |
