Few quick points: auston matthews broke Kanes, kessel and eichels record this year. I thought he was a truck in the WJC this winter interesting to see where he goes next year. Juniors or college

Imo: im not worried (yet). I saw Samson this past friday and he looked fine. I was laughing with a friend because he doesn't look like your typical hockey player but makes good play after good play. Also remember Bennett has had a year to develop since Reinhart played.

Also easier to generate offense on a fast pace scoring team than a historical league low scoring team with bottom 6 linemates. Still wish Reinhart stayed up this season and was loaned for the WJC. Honestly there wasnt much harm in keeping him here wouldve been better than Varone, D'amigo imo

Tough culture for a young kid to be around! Look at Zad's, wasn't the type of atmosphere a young talent could develop this year IMO

I wouldn't say Winnipeg is a very good team. They squeeked into the playoffs. They are like the new age Sabres. Heroic run to 8th place every year fail most of the time.

I'm glad they got their team back.

But, if any crazed hockey market lost their team for 15 years (just guessing) and got it back, they'd be bonkers, too.

Again, though, happy for them that the Jets are back where they belong.

Winnipeg's fans are great, I agree and that small building makes it a tough place to play. we'll see if it brings them a couple wins because no way they win this series.

That is a good point especially when he knows that with limited call ups left he'd be a lock every night. Yet others like Risto thrived when called on to be the man. Should be fun to see how a new coach handles Reinhart Grigo, Larsson and Zads in terms of the line up.

Bettman had such a hard on for Buffalo, he completely looked past the issue that the same team could win 1st overall 4 out of the last 6 years. My solution is thus: you get first overall, the best you can pick next year is 5th. The following year, 4th, 3rd, etc. totally prevents long term tanking. If you get first overall in a bad draft year, tough nuts, be better.
