Nolan didn't let them tank did he? the team was better after the trade deadline. you're not going to get a big time coach in here and try to sell it to him that they aren't done rebuilding. The rebuilding is done, this will be a different team after July.

That's very optimistic, IMO. I say this team is potentially at least 2 more years out of the playoffs. Very improved next year, bubble team the year after and playoffs after that. Especially if Eichel goes back to BU, Reinhardt doesn't develop and GMTM can't bring in a top line winger.

Personally, I say make a play for Simmonds. Then go from there.

Philly is deep on the wing and from what I've heard, has a lot of young D prospects that are still a couple years away. You send them a D like Psysk/McCabe and a C like Larsson/Grigs, throw in a couple other peices and I thin you have a starting point.

I think this is what it comes down to and we compete and are way more exciting as the team slowly builds up toward 5 or 6 years of competitive, rewarding playoff runs.
