It's guys like Saad who are most likely to see the offer sheet because cap issues aside, there's a decent chance our 1st rounder could wind up being better than him and so it's something the hawks would take into account.

Bust? No.

However, the fact that he has been unspectacular when it mattered in both the World Juniors and the Frozen Four Final is why I'm still disappointed in losing the lottery.

There's no doubt that Jack Eichel will score a lot of goals and help the Sabres win a lot of games. The question lies in how many big games will he help the Sabres win, and his body of work leaves that a big question mark.

Heh yeah, until you realize Jack Eichel has more fire in him than Derek (frank)ing Roy, Pommer, Van and Staff combined. Eichel is no underachiever. Not a chance in hell. The kid's a gamer and he's gonna bring it every night.
