I kind of feel bad for Miller. Rode our ship to the bottom then jumped on another sinking ship. He was the Sabres workhorse for years with nothing to show for it. I'd like to see him get a cup - chilliard77
Yeah, he melted down a few times on the media and even called out skaters on the team, but i really dont expect anything less from a competitave person. He backstopped a bunch of underachievers and almost every member of the buffalo media is a buffoon. Luck of the draw, i guess. Theres some teams out there that if he ended up on, he would probably have a cup or two. |

He was probably the Sabres most consistent player from Oct. 2007 until 2014 when we traded him, sure he's had some slips over the years but he always got back up. Still one of my favorite players |

pommer was the most consistent player IMO
Miller was a system goalie that the media fell in love with and over-hyped

Yes it does - gerbe75pts
What they would need to trade: Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Max Domi, 2015 First Round Pick, 2016 First Round Pick |

Miller was the older version of Myers
people divided big time
some loved him
some hated him
some made excuses for him
some blamed him
IMO Puppa, Miller, Sauve, Edwards, Biron
pull a name out of the hat
same streaky goalie, different era |

The way Pommer plays the game, he's a guy I could see play at 40 and still be a 20/30 guy.
He's about consistent as a player can be.

You just named almost 40 yrs of Buffalo goaltending and a big reason why it's never been an issue with this team.
Add Gerry Desjardins and it is 40 years. |

Pominville was one of my other favorites of the core. He's doing pretty well in the Minny/St Louis series |

Pommer is just quietly doing his job the exact same way in Minnesota too.
It seems like people either loved or hated Miller. I just thought it did his job well. May have been even overpaid a little. But water under the bridge now... |

never even mentioned barrasso, IMO the second best goalie I ever saw as a sabre
barrasso was a scape goat from bad drafting and trades because a team could not beat quebec |

Canucks are going nowhere. They looked disinterested and uninspired vs Calgary tonight. Miller played well when he took over for Lack. The Sabres are closer to winning a Stanley Cup than their expansion year brothers. Canucks will not be in the playoffs next year and are trending down. |

He was a guy i could have seen the team keep around for veteran leadership. Unless he wanted out. I think he would be showing kids how to be a professional just as well, if not better, than Gionta or Moulson. |

with our deep prospect pool, why doesn't anyone have any love for JT Compher anymore? Hardly any mentions for Fasching either. |
