that was beyond atrocious. If I hear how old Sam Bennett is one more time from Hughson and Simpson, I'm gonna puke.

So depressing. very limited options.

I hope Tanev works on his shot in the off season, ala Kesler. And puts on a little weight.

The only call-up that I could see making a modest difference would be Baertschi at this point.

I'm very jealous of them.

Wanted the Cabucks to move up last year and get him but I still like Virtanen

Ya think Eklund upon redesigning the website would put the Coyotes in the right order on the team logos across the top. Its only been a year since the Yotes became the Arizona Coyotes...

Same. I wouldn't mind seeing Corrado in either though.

I don't mind. He sucks ha. WD decisions aren't my fav sometimes. Having weber on the 1st PP with nobody in front of the net...ugh...
Burrows replaces vrbata on the 1st pp and vrbata and Dorsett on the second with Bonino hammer higgins would be better IMO
Both you've got a guy in front of the net and a guy who shoots.

- manvanfan

As a 3rd line winger who is effective on the pk, he is ok. In his present role, pp, pk and most minutes among forwards, he sucks.

As long as you have guys parked in front of the net, Weber works on the pp. If nobody is parked there, it doesn't really matter much who is on the blue line, as long as they can pass it to Henrik or dump it in the corner.

I do like yer 2nd pp with Dorsett in front. I wouldn't mind if Hansen played d/rover on the 2nd unit (4 fwds), wheels to get back as long as he doesn't play too deep.

Looking back, the canucks had a disproportionate amount of pests on their teams.

Lapierre
Cook
Ruutu
Burrows
Kesler

... I know I'm forgetting a few.

Our PP has become painful to watch again. I honestly don't believe any combo of the current set of players will change that.

Until we start punishing teams for taking penalties against us they'll be free to take liberties just like Boston did when our PP dried up in that series.

It is all cyclical. They fix it and then lapse back into old ways. There aren't a lot of pp's that are effective without a presence in front. Don't know how many times we heard that during the season.

It is the same with break outs. They struggle, then the forwards come back to help and they are able to break out, then they stop coming back and more struggles.

Calgary fans will be up in arms because you compared their golden boy to Burrows.
- nucks_94

Haha Burrows is on a whole new level. Dorsett plays like Ferland and I don't have poop to say about him. Burrows and Kesler are c u next tuesdays!

I've still always thought of this team the same way since the SJ sweep. They're a tweener team nowadays. Not fast, not big, not the most skilled and not great offensively or defensively.

We've been talking about this for 4 years now. Not much has changed. Talk about not addressing an obvious need. It's like the flyers and goaltenders.

Can someone in the canuck organization please do something to fix this before next season!

They are still the same team, couple players have come and gone but it's still the same team. Mediocre. A good team just not the best team. Will be mediocre until a drastic change is made.

For next season the sedins, Horvat, hansen should be the only forwards left from this team. Oh defence edler unless he gets a boat load. Sbisa, Tanev should b there.

To be honest I don't think it is all that cyclical. We simply have not had an effective PP since losing Salo and Ehrhoff - ie PP QBs. We tried Garrison there to mixed results, now he's gone. And losing Kesler at the front is a further gap that hasn't been filled. Edler has not been an offensive threat since his back injury.

By contrast check out the production from the D that CGY gets. Kris Russell and TJ Brodie are their top point getters in this series, not to mention they also have Wideman and Giordano (when healthy). Any one of them would become our best offensive option from the backend if they stepped onto the team.

It is the smoke that does it. Feeling good, relaxed, thinking about how much restraint you have shown. Just going to get a glass of something to drink... and what's this? Treats... mmmm. oops.

I agree with this to an extent, id keep kassian and vey (still young) and Bonino because he has a really low cap hit

I understand Chris Higgins kills penalties but he should not be getting four minutes more a game than the Sedins. That's prepostorous.
