He's better than the worthless player you make him out to be. I think it goes without saying TO will end up eating some of his salary. He'd be an ok contract if they ate a few million.

Anyway, with McDavid on the way they do see to have options for trade. We'll see if MacT can actually make something happen for once.

I was against it at the time. In retrospect, I don't know. That's a tough call, to trade veteran guys during a playoff push, but maybe that's the line that Benning has to walk if he's going to "retool", or "rebuild on the fly", or whatever the fck you want to call it.

No offense man, but I've seen you defend Sbisa before and Dion is the much better player. Better at clearing the net, passing, shooting, PP, etc. I bet they'd get back something decent if they ate between 1-2 million of his deal.

Or took a bad contract back as part of the deal.

Sbisa would never be offered up for a first rounder, like they want in the Leaf blog. Sbisa is a bottom pairing D mam . He is a 3 dressed up as a 3 , not like Dion a 5 dressed up as a 9

I also think he actually gets more hate in TO, so dressed up as a 9 doesn't make sense. If he was traded to a sunshine state in the States when the Flames moved him I bet he'd be better thought of. Toronto is a tough city to play in, toughest in the league most likely.

And honestly if Sbisa is a 3/10 then I'd rate Phaneuf as a 7/10.

He was part of a D core giving up 50 shots a night regularly. Everything is nice and Shiney in TO. Franson ended ub being a healthy scratch in Nashville.
