I thought a Torres comparison qualified as "props"? Torres was terrific at instilling fear in other teams defense. They always knew there was a chance he would destroy them when they rent back for the puck. Need someone like that again.

Remember when Kesler and Burrows were the best at throwing opposing players off their game? Both were pure pests. Every team needs a rat or two.

So depressing. very limited options.

I hope Tanev works on his shot in the off season, ala Kesler. And puts on a little weight.

It's not often you can dip into your AHL team to grab a player who is better then guys already on your team. You could call up some more physical players but then you would probably sacrifice experience and probably some level of defensive coverage.

Interesting that Comets are playing Wolves in the first round. I heard that wolves and canucks parted ways on not so good terms. Should be a good 1st round.

Calgary fans will be up in arms because you compared their golden boy to Burrows.

I don't really like harping on Higgins, but we have guys miscast in roles and then there is WD's loyalty or stubbornness to make changes.

I can't blame Higgins for being on the 2nd line, or 2nd untit pp, but he shouldn't be there. Sometimes I see Higgins make a good play and can see what WD sees in him. But with the style of play, I'd rather see Dorsett riding shotgun on the 2nd line or someone else being given an opportunity on the 2nd pp. It looks like we don't have any better options, but really can't tell until other players are given or earn the chance.

Maybe there aren't any easy fixes, just looking forward to the off season, after we win the cup, so we will have a chance at the trophy next season.

Until he bites an opposing player, there is no comparison. Burrows is the bigger douche bag, bumhole...

The Flames play clean, hard-nosed hockey. The Canucks are dirty, cheating d-bags.

Ya think Eklund upon redesigning the website would put the Coyotes in the right order on the team logos across the top. Its only been a year since the Yotes became the Arizona Coyotes...

Looking back, the canucks had a disproportionate amount of pests on their teams.

Lapierre
Cook
Ruutu
Burrows
Kesler

... I know I'm forgetting a few.

The only thing that Bieksa is currently good for is giving post-game quotes. Burrows at least contributes on the ice in a positive way

Bieksa and Burrows are under the Flames skin. You don't win multiple President's Trophy's by being the opposition's friend.

I don't mind. He sucks ha. WD decisions aren't my fav sometimes. Having weber on the 1st PP with nobody in front of the net...ugh...
Burrows replaces vrbata on the 1st pp and vrbata and Dorsett on the second with Bonino hammer higgins would be better IMO
Both you've got a guy in front of the net and a guy who shoots.
