anyway, the thing about this is it's (frank)ing terrible.

i instantly thought about the filthy soapy water in the mop bucket janitors push around supermarkets. that was honestly the first thing that came to my mind.

my initial idea was that it was expired but the date says it's good until october ("good" is their word, not mine).

my next idea was to look online and see what other people are saying. it's not getting bad reviews so maybe it's just me but i really have a problem with this taste. this taste offends me and i want to fight it.

i opened the bottle and gave it a sniff and it seemed okay. watermelon candy. but when i took a sip everything changed. my whole life changed. there was watermelon but it's instantly followed by a sour taste. but not a citrus sour taste. it's what i imagine a bar of zest tastes like. mix that with the watermelon and this is just a nasty disaster. a disnaster.

now everyone has different tastes so maybe it's only me who will find this absolutely (frank)ing repulsive. but i can't recommend it. in fact i'd warn you to steer clear. steer as clear as possible.

okay, let me explain the depth of my love for my loyal readers in the best way i know how. by providing them with an expert user review on a product that i have already told them how much i would hate just so they are armed with the information needed to make a proper decision next time they find themselves in need of hydration.

now my hope going into this was that the strawberry kiwi taste would be less obtrusive since it's the world of gatorade that we're talking about, where you have to actively search for flavor in 85% of their watered-down-tasting products.

i lucked out as this was indeed the case. that flavor was easier to take when diluted a bit. i still wouldn't say it was enjoyable, but i could drink it if i had to.

full disclosure, i didn't finish the bottle and that's a bad sign because i normally just sip on something like this until it's empty even if it has to sit on my desk for hours to get there.

additional full disclosure, i didn't throw it in the trash. i put it in the fridge. it has to be a good sign that i plan on finishing it, doesn't it? i mean maybe.

so it seems like this turned out a lot less disastrous than i feared. however, there are hundreds of flavors to choose from. the fact that i didn't pitch this doesn't make it any better than any of those other flavors. don't take any of this review as me saying this is good. i know that when i finish this bottle i will never have this flavor again in my life and i won't miss it.

the absolute truth is that this is probably the 3rd worst regular gatorade i've ever had but i could drink it if i was choking.

he told me to try the melon one but leave him the orange one. (he knows i'm into melons, not bananas like some of you (frank)ers)

there's a little bit of a powdered drink taste at the very end and this is a lot more watermelon than cantaloupe and honeydew, but it's still a winner.
