new coke. possibly a gimmick to boost sales of the original produc..

wait no.

pepsi 1893

1893 was the year they began making my precious precious pepsi cola (as "brad's drink") and now they are using the number as the name of a new line of hipster sodas. there are other flavors like ginger and black currant and stuff but i went with the plain old cola version since all you need for a reference point on that is the regular pepsi cola.

it's pretty much pepsi with a little spiciness to it. not like hot pepper spice or something dumb like that. like the spice you might get in a beer or a whiskey.

it's good and all. i wouldn't say it's ground breaking or anything though. maybe my jeans aren't tight enough or my mustache isn't handlebar enough, but i see no reason to buy this again although i'm glad i tried it.

tried it last summer when I visited the USA PT. Wasn't bad but prefer regular Pepsi.

i just honestly dont understand how someone could say its better than coke

not even just regarding taste (which destroy's pepsi's). coke's branding is better, it's color scheme, it's history

it is just a far, far superior product

I though Davies had the patent on "ok, bud" when crossed
- KINGKENZO

it's "right on, bud" and it's caper's patent.

dave has something else similar. i forget what it is.

me too. i don't really need this spice taste.

i may try the black currant one for my loyal readers but i'm fairly sure i'll stay away from "citrus cola" flavor and the ginger one can (frank) right off.

arctic blitz

i concentrated a little bit on flavors that give you no idea what they are by the name. (frank)in gatorade.

anyway, i'm drinking it right now and still can't tell you what the flavor is supposed to be. the color isn't really giving me any hints unless it's 1989 plymouth sundance flavor.

it's drinkable but i wouldn't call it good.

meh.

On my way home last night I stopped at a fine Wawa establishment to get a caffeinated beverage to keep me perked up. I already had a Monster Lo-Carb earlier in the day so I didn't want another energy drink. I also didn't want a piping hot coffee. So I found this:

A delightful little can of cold coffee that has surprisingly about the same caffeine as two cups of coffee.

I think Starbucks sells a very similar kind of cold coffee and it tastes identical.

Pretty good for a canned coffee product and it wasn't overly sweet which I was hoping it wasn't.

Cold brew is a very interesting product. It's literally just coffee grind soaked in water without any heat source.

This creates a product that is shelf stable without the need for preservatives, has a much lower acid content than regular coffee, and a more complex flavour and higher caffeine content, due to the amount of time the grind spends in the water.

I might just go get one from starbucks.
