were there other parking spaces available? sometimes if I'm driving down the parking aisles and I drive past one open spot because I think there's an open spot like 2-3 spots ahead and then realize it's a miata so I put it in reverse and back into the original open spot.

i do think these people just might not be able to admit to themselves that they can't back a car into a spot so they decide it's wrong to do even though every bit of information they could find on the subject says to go ahead and back into parking spots.

I assume he didn't put on his turn signal light to signal he was going to back in that space. That's his only mistake. Had he put on his light you would've known(or maybe not? you seem to not catch on to that normal driving behaviour) he was backing in there.

Otherwise, he made the right decision to back into that space, as that's the correct and safest way to go about this.

just went and got a delicious turkey bowl and another coffee. had zero drama.
