you guys may remember i tried a handful of the flavors of this body armor stuff and my conclusion was that it was good and all but waayyyyyy too much sugar to try and call itself a sports drink.



so here's a "lyte" one that just popped up in wawa.

it was okay.

not a bunch of funny tasting chemicals because i'm guessing all they did was subtracted some of the overabundance of sugar in the regular drink. but still not really good.

had to leave the office for a bit and when i was coming back i figured i'd see what's behind the glass doors at ye olde 7 eleven.

i had something else picked out when this caught my eye and it was only 99 cents to boot (i call that a bargain. the best i've ever had).



anyway, it's just okay. i mean it's probably better than okay and i was just expecting more. while it's more than drinkable it kind of fell flat for whatever reason.

probably just unreal expectations. even the pudgy little register girl was ranting to me about how much she loves it.

I think I've had the regular non-organic mint green tea from them and it was pretty good (you can see my review on page 113).

This one is just as good if not better. You can really taste the mint, it's refreshing and earthy. Not too bitter and not overly sweet.

my only real issue with the monster rehab tea+lemonade is that the lemon tastes more like lemon candy than lemonade.

either way it's in second place behind the orangeade.

the pink grapefruit is poope and the peach isn't a whole lot better.

the grapefruit one is just disjointed. the tastes don't work together. i feel pretty much the same way about the raspberry one. i keep re-trying it like a dingus because i want it to be good but, like my neighbors who sit in their garage smoking cigarettes all day, it just doesn't work.

That's a good point about the tastes not working. Never seent a grapefruit tea in the grocery stores and that's probably for a good reason.
