you see, the thing about this one is it supposedly shouldn't be a favorite of mine because it doesn't fit the alleged astringent flavor profile that it seems i generally go for. but i love it. i love it so much that i'm thinking it may be one of those boozes where i need to have a bottle in my house at all times.

i think the trick they're pulling off involves bitterness. the citrus is stong but it's not just the juice you taste, it's the pith. like if you chewed the peel (not that stong, obv). everyone says orange and they're right but there's definitely also grapefruit, which is awesome for me because of the bitterness.

in martin miller's the citrus is too lemon juice and in the tanqueray 10 it's too lemon limey, like flat sprite. no bitterness at all.

this one's like earthy and poop, like the pineyness from an ipa, not just from a gin. and it's legit dry, not like the martin millers.

anyway, it's american AF. also usually a warning sign for me but this one's aight.

the devil in a glass. zero bitterness, zero juniper taste, zero chance of ever making its way to my as of yet unbuilt liquor shelves with the hidden lights and all (it's gonna be so cool).

cool looking bottle but (frank) mr hendricks.

full disclosure: i had it in a cucumber collins and it was overpowering. the drink was green and had wayyyy too much cucumber flavoring added. i had to send it back.

hendricks is probably better than my expert user review, but i think it's just one of those liquors that's ruined for me now. sort of like how i can't even smell rumpleminz ever since it gave me mono.
