Meh.

Only got it because I had a hankering for Mango Pepsi (which IMO is the best of the flavored Pepsis) and the store was out of it. So I got this and one in vanilla just to give it a try.

Honestly not happy with it.

They come in single cans, so you don't have to buy more than one to try. Still, it cost me $1.80 each for the ~400ml can, which is the perfect volume for my Tervis Tumbler mugs.

I followed the instructions to "pour hard." Maybe I poured too hard.

While I appreciate that the smooth feel gave it a creamy flavor, as well as being less likely to get bloated in case belching fails to get rid of all the gas in the stomach from carbonation, the first thought was: "I can mostly replicate it by just making a regular Pepsi go flat."

Although it wasn't really flat. More like "not-quite-almost" flat. It just had less bite/kick than regular carbonation. Less so than an actual draft (soda fountain in nominal operating condition) pour. I didn't really care for it, and it left me wondering if I ought to have bucked the instructions and drank right out of the can.

Oh well, we'll see how the vanilla goes, which I'll drink some from the can before pouring (more gently this time as well).

But my overall impression is that this is a lame gimmick and a money grab by the usually reliable Pepsi Co.

Pass. (No Bendecko grade/scale, sorry)

Had the Vanilla Nitro. A little more satisfying, mostly because I downed it after washing my car this afternoon. This time I took a couple of sips before gently pouring the rest into my mug. As expected, this left more carbonation... I mean fizz (I guess the former term is incorrect given the different element used). But my overall impression is unchanged: Spare spending the extra $ and just let the regular stuff go flat (but not all the way flat), and you'll be essentially drinking the same thing.

I must admit, I do not like that all can/bottled soda is all over-carbonated, so I always stir it a little after pouring it into my drinking vessel (never drink it straight from a bottle or can). But I do like "just enough" carbonation to suit my taste. The nitro does not have the "just enough" straight from the can.

oh, btw, while we're here.

the conditioner

alrighty. this one is supposed to wake you up (come on, bro. seriously?)

anyway, i woke up to go to the bathroom at 4:30 and grabbed this to see if waking up in 2 hours would be any easier.

first problem: this one was carbonated

second problem: this one tasted worse than the last one.

i could only drink half of it and i had instant heartburn and the awful taste coats your mouth and won't go away.

(frank) these people.
