i tried that on monday night and had a terrible tuesday at work.

i chose elijah craig, which is delicious. for some reason tonight the burn isn't really getting on my nerves with mr. craig like it usually does.

that's the one i'm drinking. i didn't even know there was another kind.

it is very good. vanillaish. some kind of fruit, maybe apple or plum.

my cousin just told me a story about how all scotch will be more expensive and worse quality in the next few years due to the supply of barrels or what not due to the fact that there has been an oversupply of barrels and scotch the past few years and as a result they didn't make more barrels and poop and now we're running out

IS THIS TRUE??

problems from a few years ago will basically only affect young blends right now since most good scotch is at least 8 years old.

Absolutely. Barrels are very hard to make. You need wood and that stuff just doesn't grow on trees.

scotch is the biggest scam around. so overpriced. yummy, but overpriced.

the article was from 2014 and i guess bourbon prices have gone up a little here but nothing out of control. like it cited four roses as being a $16 bottle in the story and it's $20-$22 now and buffalo trace being $26 and it's $32 now almost everywhere i shop.

i started with scotch but soon got hooked on bourbon and have never looked back.

when i think about it i honestly don't know if i'll ever buy a bottle of scotch again.

like i have a list of probably 20 bourbons i want to try and can't think of one scotch that i seriously can't wait to get my hands on. i'll drink it when someone pours me one, but i'm not excited about the prospects of having a scotch like i am when i think about bourbon. don't know what changed.
