Posting from the road. Eklund Style. Except with my own drivers license and much more self-respect.

Picked up some drinks including the Mountain Dew black cherry Kickstart which I am drinking now. I have been Jaded by the Rockstar fruit punched. This would probably have been delicious a year-and-a-half ago but right now it's just passible. I mean it's very good but it's no rockstar fruit punched.

Stay tuned more to come.

If any of these last two posts say anything like I love black Richard that's only because I'm talking to text and sometimes it makes really serious mistakes.

okay you guys. it's jumex!

once again proving my threadication to my readers i have picked up a little something i didn't go out for just to do a review. and this bad boy set me back a whopping .48 so clearly money is no object in the pursuit of happy, informed readers.

it was found in the ethnic food area of an aisle at walmart (which is probably why there was a little wall built around it that i had to step over).

i figure it is similar to the goya juices i used to get when i was a youngin working for acme markets. they were like .25 and some of them were (frank)ing delicious. little steel cans. you put the pineapple juice or the mango nectar in the fridge til it was ice cold and they were the best.

so anyway, i just opened it and it is extremely reminiscent of those goya drinks.

it's viscous with fine bits of guava in it and loaded with additional sugar. i mean this thing's gotta be 25% sugar just poured in before they seal the can up. it's probably overly sweet for most of you white people but i love it.

the name makes me think psg's people hooked up with mexico to import this stuff to the USA in the saddlebags of a convoy of mules but at that price point i don't think psg's people have anything to do with this. (just kidding if you're reading this, psg! i mean two stereotype jokes in one paragraph was a lot to resist.)

so this is delicious and i know how much you all have enjoyed reading this so it shall come as stupendous news that through back channel dealings and decades of networking with shady characters in dimly lit backrooms i have also obtained a can of the peach nectar which was sitting next to this one on the shelf.

it's just two in the name of threadication. no way i could make a habit of these. i'd put on 10 lbs easily drinking a couple of these a week.

on to the jumex peach nectar.

i forgot to take a picture so imagine the same nice blue can but with a picture of a peach on it. (i give them credit. for a company smuggling these into the country in saddlebags they did go all-out with nice packaging instead of blank white labels.)

the bottom line with these things is they are the exact same product as the goya drinks. i have totally tasted this before. it's like deja vu. with juice.

this one is also very sweet. not as sweet as the last one but very sweet. little thinner consistency.

i think the bottom line is if you're poor and/or possibly from an island or somewhere like that you need to look into these. really really good for .48
