slightly watered down espresso according to the internet. somehow not the same as an americano.

I think americano is an espresso with hot water poured in

whereas an allongé is an espresso in which you let the machine pour extra coffee. That extra coffee gets progressively weaker. This effectively makes the drink less strong than a(shorter) espresso, despite having way more liquid.

never had it done professionally but i've turned plenty of single shots into doubles which sounds like pretty much the same thing i'd imagine and they're always worse than just adding water. rather than just being a less intense version of espresso it just tastes stale.

not an expert on this whatsoever though so maybe the process is still different or you use different beans that lead to it tasting better in that style

If you use the amount of coffee that's meant for a double then it tastes great. I prefer it to an americano in fact.

if you try it with the amount of coffee neede for a single than yeah, it'll be too diluted and just taste weird

guys, listen. it's about today. i might have to give in. just this once. i am dragging my (frank)ing ass.

i drank a lot of booze yesterday. like from noon until around 10:30 when i had the good sense to call it quits after almost half a day. maxxxed all day and night. just a lot of great decisions.

i'm so tired i almost didn't shave my neck this morning. too tired to drag a razor against my skin. i had to talk myself into shaving.

i'm going to need to get some pre-packaged energy somewhere, guys.
