so of course those new labels led to this




by now you probably know that this is a flavor that is well outside of my wheelhouse. just looking at this thing gave me heartburn. but of course, i thought of you guys and just clawed at the bottles instinctively.

there were two flavored lemonades and i'm not sure if i've ever tried either one of them (or if i've tried both, who knows!). i decided to start with this one because it looked like the more deadly of the two and i wanted to get it out of the way.

i took my first sip and then the oddest thing happened. i heard my own voice say "well, that.. is.. disgusting" out loud. like i didn't even think about it. it must have just come out. it was like there was someone else in the room talking.

the taste is hard to describe. it has a lot of things going on. all of them bad. i think of knockoff yankee candles. the taste of them. also, old english furniture polish (if that's still around) stongly comes to mind. this tastes exactly like the smell of old english furniture polish. then there's maybe some chemically taste or something i can't put my finger on.

right at the end there is a mouth-coating burst (code) of artificial strawberry flavor (the hard candies in the strawberry wrappers, not the fruit your pretentious friends put in their salads) followed by the sensation of drinking lemonade, if not the taste of drinking lemonade.

so yeah, this is gross.
