the best part about rediscovering gin is that my body loves it!

there's no hangover. i mean there's a general malaise of grogginess if i drink half a bottle of it but for the most part nothing. nothing but some muscle cramping from dehydration.

tell that to the dwindling gin bottles.

everyday for the past 2 or 3 days i've said out loud, "just don't drink tonight" but i drink it every night. last night i was in the shower when i convinced myself that i could sip on one glass before bed. then i couldn't wait to get out of the shower.

it's like a ginger ale with lime and vomit in it. someone else's vomit to somehow make that even grosser.

i remember i could drink some of it but i'm relatively sure i dumped it and drank a backup monster rehab that i'd bought.

well, i drove all over looking for what i thought was a pretty common gin that i'm interested in (broker's) but to no avail.

me driving at night without my glasses (i don't own glasses) is a recipe for disaster. i could have got a dui before i even drank a drop of booze.

but i braved the frigid darkness and ended up picking these up.



now i know the plymouth gin. i've read a lot about that and i can't wait to try it. i have a feeling it's gonna be real good. however, it's a bit pricier than i really want my gin to be and i just bought it out of frustration at the last store i stopped at (which was (frank)ing ghetto as all hell, btw).

this greenall's is some poop i just saw while researching recently. it's a simple $20 bottle and it looks like it gets relatively mixed reviews. apparently it's real old and i'm supposed to have known about it already.

anyway, i went with the greenall's first and it's pretty good. this is gin i'd buy again. it has the bite that i'm looking for but i don't know if it's anymore bite than beefeaters or tanqueray or whatever. it's a little perfumey or florally or something but not like one of those gins that adds like rose petals or some other hokey poop. there's just a little something in the background.

i'll get back to you after i try the sure-to-shatter-my-earth plymouth turismo.
