wait though. read this poop. against my better judgement i picked up the
whitley neill blood orange gin tonight. i was taking it back to the gingerbread house where it would stay, not my own house, but i still was worried that it was gonna suck.

i also got some of the fever tree tonic that i always hear is so great.

anyway, i drank it straight. i drank it with tonic. i just drank it. and it was delicious. i drank so much of it that i had to leave my car and uber home.

anyway, they make all kinds of other flavors and i still don't trust those, but get out there and get yourself some of the blood orange one. le magnifique.

a couple glasses of that blood orange gin on the rocks. there's zero juniper to me but it is still an enjoyable drink.

so there i was. in a house with only one bottle of gin.

it was a gin i've had before but it was like 10 years ago in a gin and tonic. and it was an american gin. nothing to do with donald trump, but i just don't like american gins as much as i like a london dry jawn.



but bluecoat (philly representin, yall!) worked out surprisingly well and i will surely buy a bottle for my own house now that i know.

it was more smooth and citrusy than i necessarily need it to be but it also had more than enough juniper bitterness to appease my needs. in fact, i poured a second and it was a bigger pour than the first, so i must have liked it a lot.
