Tropical Thunder from the Moo Bar

#Streit2TheReview

This cocktail caught my eye with banana as one of the ingredients, along side tequila lime and campari. My friends, there is no banana. I taste lime and grapefruit. Bonus points for having lots of tequila.

oh nooo. are you on vacation again? you barely survived the last one and that took 77 IVs of fluids and a team of doctors.

also, throw that drink right in their face for not having the banana.

West Golden Fadeaway IPA from Over Under Brewing

#Streit2TheReview

West coast style ipa, a nice balance of hops I get a bit of citrus and the nice piney taste that a classic west coast style ipa delivers. Solid IPA

Blue Moon Brewing Company (various)

These were all so incredibly good. It’s a shame that Blue Moon doesn’t release any of these. The Peach Cobbler blonde ale was the best out of these, such a tasty creamy beer.

The Star of the show was the Mexican chocolate brown ale

By far one of the best beers I’ve had. Strong chocolate taste with a finish of cinnamon and slight malt taste.

Not a fan of the ubiquitous Blue Moon, as I dislike most wheat beers, but I'd give that Peach a try. I had a Peach beer (can't remember what kind, but I think it was a non-wheat and darker ale) from another brewer a few years ago whose name escapes me, but I really thought it was good as I find the taste more complementary than other fruits.

But I'm really jonesing for that chocolate brown. Damn, they need to go nationwide with that.

I’m not a huge wheat beer guy either, but I had a few and I liked every one. I was really impressed with all their offerings. I asked the bartender why they don’t have more in stores and he said they were afraid they would upset the die hard original blue moon fans
