Not so sure why everyone appears to be so high on Todd McLellan. The impression I got watching the Sharks was an extremely talented team that underachieved and never lived up to expectations.
7 years in SJ McLellan was eliminated in the first round 3 times, and missed the playoffs this year. 4 out of 7 years very disappointing. - PLindbergh31
Had a lot of players that came up short when it mattered too, not all of it is on him. I'll consider him among many names but honestly have no idea who I'd prefer at the moment. |

What a house of horrors the United Center is for Laviolette. - PLindbergh31
For sure. You can see the difference that playoff experience makes in this series. Nashville gets visibly flustered at times while Chicago just goes out and plays their game.

That seems to happen with a lot of HBO/Showtime series
Dexter, Weeds, The Sopranos all started with bang and finished with a whimper. - BiggE
Just wait until Game of Thrones ends with Captain Jack Sparrow on the Iron Throne. |

My first preference is definitely Babcock, unfortunately that doesn't seem very realistic. Outside of him, you can lump all of the other candidates together. |

Yes sir. Losing Weber really hurt. Toews is so good though. I think eventually the Hawks will have to go back to Crawford, I think Darling will turn into a pumpkin sooner than later. |

I got through Dexter all the way until he and the woman killed the 4 guys who were torturing her. After that, it became like the Following. How the hell is he getting away with this over and over again?
I'm watching Daredevil now....really good.

Yeah, I think Crawford gets back in at some point too. What makes them even scarier is that Kane is not even at full speed yet. Between him, Toews, Sharp and Hossa they are just loaded with big game players up front and a host of quality Dmen.

Yeah, I stuck with Dexter til the end, cause I loved the show and Hall's portrayal of the character. But the last season was a major disappointment.

I will pick up with it again at some point. I was binge watching like crazy for a while.

I know. Hossa is underrated. He's been a beast in this series on both sides of the puck.
Imagine Seabrook being the Flyers # 2 dman? |

After 5 periods of play, Kimmo Timonen has only played around 12:18 in ice time. I'll admit that I haven't watched Timonen closely since his trade but whenever I have decided to check in on him, he has looked OLD every single time. - SuperSchennBros
Franson only played 13 minutes last night. I'm hoping the OTs work in our favor and Kimmo gets more PT on Thursday.

I've watched all the games so far, and for the most part Nashville has outplayed them. A few timely goals, and a good bounce and the hawks are up 3-1. Hawks are (frank)ing scary though. Every game I just keep waiting for darling to get lit up, but it's not happening lol Kid's looked solid so far.

Meh. I think McLellan is as good or better than any candidate out there, save Mike Babcock. I'll run through McLellan's resume for you:
- Spent 6 seasons in the WHL and was executive of the year in 1997 (he was GM) and coach of the year in 2000 for Swift Current.
- Won the Calder Cup at the AHL level in 2003 as coach of the Houston Aeros.
- Was an assistant on the Stanley Cup winning Red Wings in 2008, under Mike Babcock.
- Went to two conference finals and won the Pacific 3 times.
The guy is obviously well thought of and has achieved a couple of things in coaching and is not even 50 years old yet (he's 47).

Our #1 dman this year just saw 12 mins of ice time in over 5 periods of play for them - Just5
He's injured. But I get what you are saying. The Flyers # 1 guy, is a third pairing guy on the Hawks. |

They start with a solid premise, good characters and a decent storyline, but they never go into a project with any clue as to how it should end.
They can't, really, hoping it will go on for umpteen seasons. Everything eventually dries up.

I wouldn't be upset if he was hired, given the candidates. He's certainly got a much better pedigree than Berube. |

Crawford's probably ruined now, the way he's been Laviolette'd.

But when? that's the key question. For all we know darling continues to stop every puck, they win the cup, and his wheels could fall off at the beginning of next season. Which I pray doesn't happen cuz I (frank)ing hate the hawks fan base. Another thing is if darling's wheels fall off next round, or sooner rather than later, they have to hope Crawford doesn't start becoming a sieve again.
