in fairness, linden was just interviewed on 1040 and indicated it was a joke, so unless he hasn't been informed, that's kinda...iffy. - Isles_since_6
there's no way they'd play the joke up to the point of EMT's coming into the room, burrows on a stretcher, ambulance taking him away, and the official team twitter saying upper body/won't play |

I doubt they'd take a joke that far. That would be insensitive towards families who have lost people due to heart-related injuries and such. That's basically the biggest fear that crosses people's minds when you hear about a player leaving on a stretcher. |

This is all a part of WD's grand scheme to rest players for next year. I'm starting to see it now. |

Sportsnet reporting it too. Pretty sure that means he won't be playing tonight. Hopefully it's nothing serious and more precautionary. |

Yeah dont think hell be playing tonight, but like someone said earlier i hope sven lines up with bonino and vrbata. Although alot will disagree, wouldnt be upset with Dorsett playing with the sedins tonight |

This may be the sort of adversity the team can rally around and get going. Do hope Burrows is okay.

Alex Burrows left the Canucks' morning skate with an upper-body injury and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
The Canucks are saying that Burrows is being hospitalized for "precautionary reasons," but haven't provided much more in the way of information. One thing they have confirmed is that Burrows won't play on Tuesday. Sven Baertschi, who was called up on Tuesday, will likely take Burrows place in the lineup.

I like Dorsett as well, but that would be a total waste. It will be Vrbata or Hansen, I'm leaning toward Vrbata but Hansen often plays with them as well.

The only experience Hansen has had with the Sedins is in stinking up the ice. Really hope we don't revert back to that "experiment."
I'd agree that Dorsett is an option, but more likely Vrbata gets moved back with the twins and Sevn takes his spot on the Bonino line. |

Any other word on the lineup? Is Richardson in?
If Richardson can't go do you move Matthias to the middle and dress either McMillan or Vey on the wing or do you put Vey in the middle for Richardson? I thought McMillan played okay the last couple times he was in the lineup, an improvement from when he first arrived. |

I also was leaning towards vrbata or hansen, but then i thought, dorsett crashes the net and annoyes people add that to the sedins skill could turn out nice. That way Hansen can stay with Horvat (great duo this series) and maybe the line 2 chemistry with sven bonino and vrbata could continue from the eddy game |

If you give dorsett top line minutes you may as well forfeit. That’d be like playing matt martin with Tavares. Sounds fun, but ultimately it’s a dumb idea. |

All lines basically have the same playing times, and its helping the other 3 lines be more of a challenge |

I didn’t say sit him, I said if you give him top line minutes. You don’t play someone with club fists on your top line when you need offense. |

I don't have much faith in WD making changes on the fly, but if the Sedins get double shifted a bit, there is nothing keeping WD from trying a couple different players on the wing depending on the situation and flow.
iirc, the stats show Hansen plays well with the Sedins, just doesn't finish enough. I'd rather see a couple other guys get a chance as long as they don't put Higgins up there.... |
