While I won't argue that we may in fact lead the league in knucklehead fans. To paint thousands with the same brush due to a 200 or 300 idiots isn't fair. - Alpha_Nuck
I never did....I said sounds like "these Canucks fans", not all. Lot's of parts in his message saying how great the majority of Canucks fans were. I just felt like posting this because earlier in here it was all "Flames Fans started it" talk. |

We were 10 feet away from that fight in that clip last Friday night. After it cleared we reiterated with a canucks fan who was standing right next to it. Lots of yelling, and then bam a canuck fan sucker punched the flames fan, all hell broke loose, then an older man in a flames jersey (turned out to be the dad) tried to step in, he was grabbed an thrown on the floor. The guy was like 50. wtf? Then as the four of us (in flames jerseys) stood by trying to help calm things, another rogue canuck fan started yelling at us and tried to get us to fight. This was some of the worst Fanaticism I have ever witnessed. So many nice canuck fans kept coming up to us and apologizing for the abuse we kept taking every twenty feet we'd walk. Slapped in the gut/logo, chin tap, pretty hard arm wrap around the neck, literally every 1 out of 50 canuck fans we'd pass. My other friend, alone, got a wet paper towel wiped at his head while in that same washroom you saw in that fight, then outside surrounded by 5 fans, they grabbed the back of his neck and told him "the flames suck, and they'll kick his a....". Luckily I live in van, and work in gastown. So we ditched our sweaters as quick as we could so we could enjoy the remainder of the night. I've never seen and been abused at this level while attending a sporting event. I have game 7 tickets if need be, and I will certainly be leaving my Flames jersey at home. Flames fans, if you're reading this, be better then this. Don't just "not" abuse the other fans, but "step in" an say something. As nice it was to hear people apologizing, no one said anything when it was happening. Let's keep this game civil, and just enjoy the game like adults.
Sounds like these Canucks fans take after your buddy Bieksa. - The-O-G
I always listen to just one side of the story.

Crap from the Flames thread should be left in the Flames thread, it's there for a reason. |

Haha...well the only side of the story in this thread was "Flames Fan started it", so I'm not sure you quite understand the concept of "Two sides to every story". - The-O-G
I was at game 2 with 2 buddies who are flame fans and they had the jersey's on and we didn't experience any of that.
So clearly you don't understand the concept of 2 sides to every story.

if he breaks a rib it's not too difficult, i don't think. i'd imagine that would be a terrifying feeling. - chester97
I had broken/bruised rib from skiing a couple years ago. It's nothing serious in terms of day to day activities but you do feel a sting when making almost any effort involving the mid-section. A push-up, for example, is out of the question.
If I was feeling pangs afterwards when hitting moguls, I can only imagine the pain of receiving full hockey checks. And it takes more than a month to fully heal. |

A couple years ago I had cracked ribs from a motorcycle accident, couldn’t do anything physical for a week and even then it was painful for a long time. Taking a body check would have made me cry like a pens fan. |

Unfortunately, that ship has sailed, they will be the next team to rebuild along with SJ. - HughJasscok
The rebuild started last summer Mr. Menza.
You should go suck your user namer. |

I wouldn't argue with him. He knows a thing or two about rebuilds. |

I expect him to score 3 goals including the OT winner and Jim Hughson to name 18 year old Sam Bennett 1st star. |

He is not that Svensational, come on man.
Is he playing on the Sedin line? That would be hilarious contradiction to how Hartley handled him. |

I assume he will be playing with Bonino and Higgins. Vrbata will move up with Sedins. |

I'd rather have Burrows on that line, that doesn't bode well for Calgary. |

I'd like to see:
Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata
Sven - Bonino - Matthias
Kenins - Horvat - Hansen
Higgins - Richardson - Dorsett
This is keeping in mind that WD wants to roll 4 lines.
And I know this won't happen but if they really suck early again tonight I'd even give Bo a shot with the Sedins and go top-heavy:
Sedin - Sedin - Horvat(they would dominate the cycle game)
Sven - Bonino - Vrbata(dangerous off of the rush)
Higgins - Richardson - Hansen(shutdown line)
Kenins - Matthias - Dorsett(crash and bang) |
