I expect him to score 3 goals including the OT winner and Jim Hughson to name 18 year old Sam Bennett 1st star. - Scooby_Doo
I think that was Craig Simpson who named all three stars as Flames. |

I'd like to see:
Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata
Sven - Bonino - Matthias
Kenins - Horvat - Hansen
Higgins - Richardson - Dorsett
This is keeping in mind that WD wants to roll 4 lines.
And I know this won't happen but if they really suck early again tonight I'd even give Bo a shot with the Sedins and go top-heavy:
Sedin - Sedin - Horvat(they would dominate the cycle game)
Sven - Bonino - Vrbata(dangerous off of the rush)
Higgins - Richardson - Hansen(shutdown line)
Kenins - Matthias - Dorsett(crash and bang) - Alpha_Nuck
I wanna see
Sedin Sedin Sven
Matthias Horvat Vrbata
Higgins Bonino Hansen
Kenins Richardson Dorsett

Yup, Sven is trigger happy and has speed for puck retrieval, lets both twins play setup. Matthias is too slow for Kenins and Dorsett, but is good grit I think with Horvat and Vrbata. This line up works for me coach |

I agree because it's not the ideal time to be trying something new. That being said, I'd love to see him score a hattrick tonight in Calgary. #svengence. |

We dont have many "skilled" options... without Burrows we have Vrbata, who really helped give us a second line down the stretch. Either we load up one line and cripple another, or let the Sedins carry a rookie and let the second continue its mediocre playoff run |

If we had seen these lines at some point in the regular season then I wouldn't mind but the playoffs are a bad time to try out new combos on every line. But if we get dominated tonight, then yeah, do whatever. |

Sportsnet reporting it too. Pretty sure that means he won't be playing tonight. Hopefully it's nothing serious and more precautionary. - AlexF
Stick Vey with the twins
Sven in Higgins spot .Higgins in kenins spot.
Stick a fork in us. No burrows means no chance in this series |

True, Sven is just so unproven, I think he might even hamper the Sedins if he is on their line (nothing against him, a lot of players would do the same). I think you'd be better off putting vrbata up there and take your chances. |

He has looked great in his games with the Canucks. Lots of talent. Why is it so crazy to put him with the twins? Baertschi is older than some of the guys the Flames have in their top 6. |

Like that one game against the Oil where scribbles let in 2 squeakers? |

Yup, I would just like them to see how he starts there but give keep it on a short leash before moving Vrbata up. Sedins are capable of turning anyone into stars, but the Canucks just might not have enough time to let that develop |

The smart thing to do.
Sedin Sedin Hansen
Baertschi Horvat Vrbata
Higgins Bonino Matthias
Dorsett Richardson Kenins
But we all know it will never happen. It's time to play Horvat with guys that can bury his passes |

You're right, he scored 2 goals in a game by total fluke. He sucks. - hankthetank
Don't you remember?
Every Goal Calgary scores is a highlight reel top 10 play on sportscenter, which shows pure skill
While every goal by a Vancouver player is a result of some lucky bounce. |

Haha I never said that, but you need that #1 line rolling. You can't afford time for them to find chemistry. To add to that, Sven is not a physical player and this game is going to be war. If you really think he should be on the first line then go for it! - The-O-G
Their usual line mate in Burrow is out, so whoever fills in will need a bit to find chemistry.
Some of the guys the Flames have in their top 6 are smaller than Baertschi so it's OK for them but not for the Canucks? Great logic.
Doesn't matter anyway, Baertschi isn't playing tonight. |

I agree he isnt physical, but in the few games we saw him he didnt shy away from contact. Perhaps it was just his new lease on life outside of the Flames, but for a skilled guy he didn't appear to float on perimeter. All for not anyways, perhaps he gets in for Game 5 |
