How is it stupid to trade chara? Where's the logic? the guy makes 7 million a year at almost 40 years old to provide subpar defense. The only thing that would be a stupid move is another GM giving up something of value to get him

I was one to question Chara's leadership upon seasons end but took a step back though about how stupid that is. Any man who can play as crippled as he was deserves a chance to come back, what a warrior. For a team so many said was soft you want to trade Chara of all guys? He just needs to play less. Besides you think anyone will take him? Chara will retire a Bruin. So this trade Chara talk is just a waste of time because it absolutely won't and shouldn't happen.

Claude maybe deserves another year. I was reading yesterday an interview with Spooner and though he could just be posturing it seemed sincere. About Claude shredding him during the presentation season gave him the incentive to try and be a better all around player. Combine that with the Marchand/Bergeron interviews on garbage bag day I don't think Julien has lost the room. He needs to be on a shorter leash though if he stays.

At the end of the contract. He had a down year but I don't think that's grounds for giving up on him so quickly. Considering when the entire roster around him had a down year as well. He'll be back, maybe not to his Norris years but he'll be formidable.
