I wouldn't be making comments. The Rags are barely getting by a team with 4 top D men out. You think playing like they are they're going anywhere this year. Not happening.

Amazing, they lose a game they're no good, they win a game they're the Stanley Cup Champs. We outplay Detroit for two at home and they steal one, we get outplayed and have no puck luck in their home opener and they're bums. Its called a series for a reason .

I think our biggest problem is in the offensive zone. We cant create any kind of pressure at all and it looks like they dont understand that in the playoffs you get even less time and space to create something. Get the puck in deep, battle for it, put guys on net and SHOOT from every angle. Thats how we get the Wings defense to commit and thats when we get room to make the fancy plays our skilled forwards want to.

The powerplay is just aweful.

We need to put Drouin in there, Vladdy out. Drouin has the skill to create something in the small spaces in the offensive zone like no one else. If Garrison is back next game then sit Sustr out and play the swedes, Garr/Cob and Carle/Nesterov.

Hopefully Garrissons bomb will give our PP another dimension to.

I will be furious if we dont make it past the first round this year either

I told Mike at the beginning of the playoffs that we could very well be the sharks 2.0.

It's one game but a very complete one from the Red Wings. Don't fret Tampa fans. Until Mrazek gets some consistency in his game I would look to the Bolts tying it up in game 4....

That Abdelkader reminds me of a young Ryan Malone. Great great future for that kid!

If by great future you mean lots of hookers and blow, I completely agree!

True but you should be up 3-0 going away but look average the Sens are down 3-0 and playing better than the Rags. I'd be more concerned about the Rags than trying to be cute on here. You lose tonight and they'll be ready to start jumping from the bridges or ready to hang the refs as everyone knows the Rangers don't take any penalties. One thing I'll give you is the pain of having to hear Pierre for every game. His Cindy bromance is way over the top maybe you guys can fire a couple pucks at him. It's getting disgusting to listen to.

No need to panic, the series is 2-1. Someone had to be up 2-1, just as someone will be up 3-2. I would like to see drouin in and morrow sent to the nursing home. Hopefully cooper can make the right adjustments for game 4.

They need to go to the net more and force the issue rather than stay on the outside. They were gapped too far away from the Wings D and need to put the pressure there. Flip the puck in and use their speed rather than go through a blue line being defended.

I'm not holding my breath just yet, I've seen the Wings be a different team from game to game, so who knows which team will show up the next one. Great win, sure...but it's a long way from over in the series.

What's that one win in 7 playoff games now with this core?

Some teams just know how to play in the playoffs, and others are lost. Tampa is lost.
Not enough grit and character

- QuickSCF

Uh... this core are all kids. Like I've been saying all season: Not our year.

We need to get thumped one more time before we "get it".

This game gave me cancer. This game is dead to me.

Lightning brought no hustle, no physicality, and their passing was weak. Power play was AWOL.

Although, the ice surface was obviously horrible - tons of snow, passes were awful, and pucks took strange bounces. But to be fair, this hurt both sides, although Detroit is probably familiar with the quirks of their home ice.

That first garbage goal set the tone and like Mike said in the article, you could tell this was not going to be a good night for Tampa.

And, maybe I am old school (or a jerk, or both), but I would have sent somebody after Abdelkader every time he stepped onto the ice. I'll call up Witowski just for the express purpose of re-arranging Abdelkader's face. What he did against Garrison cannot go unanswered - I hope we cripple that ashhat in the next game.

Or, we board the jesus out of Kronwall and call it even. Put him out of action for the rest of the series and see how they like having a good D-man smoked by a dirty hit.

Cant really se that we would have won any of the two loses with Garrisson on the ice. Thats not the problem.
