Buffalo's 2nd line.

Barely outperformed by Moulson without the benefit of playing on the "top line". Could be worse options out there.
Stafford: 24 points in 50 games - played with Flynn, Foligno, Deslauriers, etc
Moulson: 41 points in 77 games - played with Ennis + Girgensons/Larsson |

I have to say, I was frustrated with the NHL's scheduling of the games yesterday. 4 games total and they started 2 at 7 and 2 at 9:30. Wouldn't it have made more sense to start one at 7, one at 7:30, and then one at 9 and one at 9:30?
It's so dumb to have 2 games going on and have both in intermission at the same time. |

I like Moulson but his foot speed keeps him out of a lot of plays. Great hands around the net but on the rush he's literally nonexistent.

The NBA does the same thing. The reality is that ultimately, with the local markets watching the first round on their own regional networks, the number of fans outside those markets don't really change much from year to year no matter when the games are played. The TV networks make the call as to what game is played when, not so much the league anymore. |

I also thought it was a bit odd that both the Chicago game on Tuesday and the Minnesota game yesterday both actually started at 8:30 local time. I don't think I've ever once seen a game start at 8:30 pm here. |

None of the Eastern teams have had that, I don't think. |

Nope. My guess is that because a good majority of the playoffs are taking place in the Eastern/Central time zone, the league is trying to stagger them a bit more. The only time a game that's in the East starts that late is if it's the SCF. |

It seems to be that NBC's strategy is all about choice. Most fans are either going to want to watch one game or the other, and aren't really concerned about getting in all four. By putting two games at 7, and two games at 9:30, the viewer gets the choice of what game he wants to watch. Fans who buy the tickets aren't getting a discount so they're going to show up no matter what time the game starts. |
