Daniel responds to Engelland shove after the whistle by picking up Flames' stick, handing it to him. Skates away. Engelland stunned.

Is there any video of this? I didn't see it last night.
This was definitely in the 1st or early 2nd period. I remember seeing this when I was not passed out drunk. Which I assume happened somewhere in the middle of second. For Rye and Whiskey affecianados here. I started my Canadian Rye binge and have found some real gems.
Century 1525 is really good as well as Ninety 20y/o aged rye.

What's with the lack of people in the flames thread? It's crazy. At least you show up once in a while. Even whipper is MIA.

Haha I think it's funny too, on both accounts.

THIS IS A RIVALRY

NO IT ISN'T

YES IT IS!!!

NO

YES!!

- The-O-G

I couldn't care less about if fans on either side consider this a rivalry or not. I only want the Flames to win the series against whomever we are playing.
The Flames players have treated this as a series against an old rival and ramped up their play to meet that expectation. The Canucks players have viewed this as a series that would be like taking candy from inexperienced kids.
It really doesn't matter if it is or isn't a rivalry. I'm just glad that the Flames treated it like it was, and showed up to play like it was. The proof is in the pudding. One team is on the brink of elimination due to their apathetic attitude, and the other is more than willing to close the door on this series and play in round 2 against another opponent, rival or not.
Many said that experience would win out over Youthful exuberance. I'm sure it was simply the team with the most heart and desire that will win. If Vancouver doesn't dig down and match what the Flames have brought to the series Far, they won't win, if they do find a way to match and exceed the Flames passion, then they deserve to win.

Haha....well we don't usually get a lot of people in there anyway. I know lots of people read but not much for commenting.

They are probably all hungover today. That clock is moving might slow for me.

I wish the only reason the Canucks were losing this series was because of their "apathetic attitude." They just don't have a good enough team anymore. And most of the TSN and Roger's panels chose the Flames to win this series. Canucks are at the end of their good years while the Flames are just entering into theirs.

I personally feel WD is out to lunch more and more with each passing game. He seems to look past the obvious solutions for some creative attempt at finding chemistry.

At this point, given how freakin' challenged we are to score, Miller will need to start posting .940+ percentages with a shutout or two if we are to find a way out of this.

- AlexF

There you have it, trouble scoring, at times trouble getting the puck out of our zone...

I think Lack will be back in net.

We are getting what we deserve.

I dropped a turd right in the middle of that room and got nothing.

I do the same in the leaf or oiler thread and I get 11 pages of derp and a 3 day ban.

I'm frustrated.

Not really, but it does take both teams to participate. You might hate the Canucks, but Canuck fans haven't been paying much if any attention to the Flames in a long time.

I'm guessing Van is in the running with the expectation they move one of Lack/Markstrom clearing a roster spot in Utica before Demko leaves college

It's amazing that all it took for the canucks to be successful is to get rid of Linden. What an anchor that guy is.

Weighed down the canucks for all those years then took his poop-show to New York, Montreal and Washington, and now ruining the canucks again. Good move dumping his ass.

The guy is a perennial loser. Easily the most overrated player to ever play in the nhl.

Serious answer: we have no idea how Virtanen would look against NHL opposition. And judging by WD's decisions of late, he'd probably keep him on the bench anyway.

Kassian could provide a spark, but he only seems to be in the mood 1 out of every 3 or 4 games. If he was motivated then absolutely we could use him.
