Why not get an asset in a trade and then sign him back cheap as a ufa - A_SteamingLombardi
Could be a good plan at next year's TDL. Maybe grab a 1st. I know Benning likes the 2016 draft |

Very similar to Monahan maturity wise. - whipper334
Both seem like future captain material. Though between Monahan and Bennett I don't know who to bet on |

Wouldn't you take any of them on your team? I am not sure what team you cheer for this week , but still ,I am sure they would fit on any of your teams |

Monohan as the sexy pick but Giordano as the right one...with 'A's going to Hudler and Dennis Wideman |

He looks like he can and has been one of our best players in the playoffs with limited ice time. Will have to reevaluate when we get there but I agree with you at this point - bezz44
My only complaint about Horvat is that he is not overly physical. Maybe that will come, or maybe that's just not a part of his game, but we could really use it right about now. |

Giordano might just have the most cap-friendly contract in the league considering his contribution to the flames.
2011-12: $4.6 M
2012-13: $3.5 M
2013-14: $4 M
2014-15: $4 M
2015-16: $4 M

I watched a Flame D try to lay a nice check on Bo and he bounced right off. I feel Bo will be just fine |

I don't really think he needs it. His game is more about being in position and capitalizing on opponents' mistakes. I wouldn't complain if he started throwing his weight around though |

There's some really awesome deals to be had by gambling a bit it seems. Sometimes you win sometimes you don't but if you do it looks (frank)ing awesome.
Roman Josi put up 55 points this year making 3 million. They have him locked up til 2020 with an AAV of $4m |

I feel the same, but he's smart enough to pick his spots and a big enough body to do some damage. If he never develops that part if his game he will still be a great player, but we have so many non physical players already. |

I think with the way we are drafting it won't be an issue. Lots of guys with mean streaks in the pipeline |

I guarantee we won't be getting similar upside with Sbisa. Let's face it, at this point we just seem happy with him when he doesn't (frank) up. |

A Norris candidate or a player who, according to Nucker's numbers, is statistically one of the worst players in the league? I'll have to think about it. |
