all n all this is a team that should be in the hunt for 8th place come the beginning of next march...don't think they are quite ready for the playoffs (unless Eichel turns out to be the TRUTH)

Let's be honest; Unless Reinhart comes flying out the gate, he will be in roch for the year. So who will be our 2C? Girgs or Gringo? Those two being on a line together, regardless of who gets the middle, could work out very well.
Or terribly, either way we'll find out if Gringo is the real deal.

He cleared because of Darcy's gentlemen's agreement with other GMl's not to claim him. But, if they do now, let them. He's turned into nothing but an IR case.

Their not contending next season and maybe the one after that. West has too many power houses with grown men on their teams. Rookie and sophomore mcdavid better be hitting the gym on a regular basis. Otherwise u got rnc, hall, eberle and yak throwing purses out there to protect you.

Bcz that still doesn't help Edmonton get a top pairing dman. Which is now a need. They could go after Stafford or Stewart as a free agent and that would be an adequate winger to play with the rookies. Gotta give to get. Drasaitl is not really a loss bcz he is the oddman out there

All the more reason to get a vet d-man on that team. Not a rental guy but someone who can be there for the next few years. Could use one in their top 6 as well.
