You would think a big guy like Matthias that isn't essential would step up and fight. - golfingsince

You want our top pairing Dman to fight but don't mention the big soft forward. |

This is an on going problem for years. This is SM first full year. He won't be here next year , Edler will.
I think if you look on some previous comments you will see where someone points out our top pair Edler would be a 3/4 on a good team |

He'd play with Subban in MTL.
We've lacked a #1 dman since Jovo was in his prime. We've had some team toughness, and it would be much better with Kassian in the lineup.
Losing Edler for Ferland is a really bad tradeoff. |

In the last 10-12 years we haven't had a true #1 though. At our best we were rolling essentially 3 pairs of 2nd pairing d-men. |

Watch the Summit Series 72 where Bobby Clark took care of business in an 8 game series. I think he was given a two minute penalty.
The reason why Kings Bruins Hawks are Champs is because they get to your top players before you get to theirs.
You can be a giver or a taker. Ferland has turned us into takers. |

He broke maybe the best hockey player in the world at the time's ankle with a (frank)ing slash.

One of the greatest coaches ever tells a hall of fame player to deal with things but it is not ok with you morals.
Duncan Keith can take Daniel out for months but you don't approve. Keith or Seabrook takes out Dave Backes with a cheap shot after being down 2-0 but again it is immoral.
Dustin Brown goes out and deliberately tries to get rid of Hank but Golfing doesn't like.
They have how many cups? You want a cup but you are not willing to do whatever is needed.
Ferland is out there trying to remove players and you want to play by the rules. You really are a Canuck |

Miller did well. A game 5 victory when being up 3-1 is dangerous. This could benefit us. |
