3-0 we are the champions...3-2 cry like a little girl. (frank)ing clowns.

They should still win this series. However, if they don't this would be the perfect opportunity to move on from MT.

He doesn't develop young players very well; they always play with the fear that one mistake could send them to the press box. He also is a die-hard fan of the dump-and-chase which is terrible for this team.

He picks favourites. Oulette in Pittsburgh and Desharnais in Montreal.

Honestly, Desharnais has done well as a small player. But he has serious limitations. And he really isn't doing well with the tight checking in the playoffs.

they don't need to solve Anderson. they need to solve themselves. therrien and his one dimensional way of thinking is on the hot seat.
- rob121

You can hate Therrien all you want but they had something like 45 or 46 shots on net tonight. He has been good.

I think its more about Ottawa stretching them out whether its offensive break outs or back checks. Therrien's system, to me, is about timing and hitting the blue lines with speed

im sure ill get jumped all over for this, but while anderson was good for sure, i find the shot count has been deceiving, the habs tend to shoot from everywhere, tons of bad angle shots....

Sens played a great game. Habs PP is the worst I ever remember it and some of that has to do with the Sens and some of that has to do with MTL.

Now that I am calm. (frank) I need that whiskey..

I have to say, I agree. Therrien just doesn't look like the coach to bring them to the next stage. He has done a great job turning the culture of this team around, and a great job overall. But he has limitations: he can't adjust

- blarneylad

Seriously up 3-2 and fire Therrien??

Lmao. Clearly his fault Price gave up 5 today and Patches is obviously still hurt

For next game I would try PAP in the lineup and put Pacioretty in the press box since he is a useless bum in the playoffs.

The momentum is on Ottawa's side now. Montreal is going to have to work extra hard to get it back.

Patch is not hurt, he has always been a ghost in the playoffs. It's his thing.

As soon as Anderson cracks in the slightest, and he will, it will be over for the Sens.

I think that what is missing is getting to the net to get some rebounds or screening him. I guess the sens defense is doing a good job there. Or the Habs forwards are not willing to pay the price.

But even on breakaways, he made some great saves.

you are such a suck. you buy into the koolaid therrien is serving. 45 shots without barely any grade a scoring chances. all season long it was the same poop. the opposition can be outshot at a 2 to 1 ratio but get the better scoring chances. therein and his "system" is being exposed.

Wait. Weren't you giving Therrien credit just 2 short games ago? Dude, if you are going to female dog and moan try not to do it from such a high pedestal. The wind direction seems to affect your opinion.

The only reason Therries looks remotely OK is because Price; if we had almost any other goalie out there this is a borderline playoff team. With him they could win the cup but solely on his shoulders. Therrien couldn't even ride the coattail of Crosby and Malkin, he is fired part way through the season and Pitt takes off to the cup.

Unlike you, I use more than the last ten seconds of life as a cursor in my compass.

Short term memory must help when being a Leaf fan though.

I have followed the Habs through darkness, and through both the previous (past, as in not the last 5 games) and current stints of Therrien as coach. I am drawing from a very deep understanding of not just how the team has played but also how they can play (future/hypothetical/alternate reality).

Keep living the now storm. There will one day be clear skies...

At least Desharnais is involved physically...Plekanec on the other hand...mister "Enter the zone, but tip toes around at the blue line, dumps and let someone else do the dirty work".

I'm not saying I'm happy with Desharnais as a 1st line center, far from it...but I least you can't question the effort level and commitment on his part.

I will agree. I like Desharnais' CHaracter. He tries, but alas for nothing.

Pleks on the other hand continues to play like, his words, a 'girl'
