I am truly surprised, wasn't expecting that to happen. I actually expected him to get a fine. |

I feel like they had to suspend him, if not it basically opens all hits where the head is the principal point of contact. I'm sure the discussion went around the table "Well we can't suspend the guy for this, he's never been suspended before and it's the playoffs" "Ok, you are entitled to your opinion however if this hit was carried out by Matt Cooke, Raffi Torres, John Scott and others of their ilk?" "Oh well 10 games at least" "Ok so say next game someone does the same thing to Datsyuk, Zetterberg etc., we are kind of screwed here don't you think?" "Good point, let's give him 1 game." |

This is pure nonsense. Respecftully disagree.
His hits are not always dirty which is why he doens't get suspended. There is no "old boys club" favoritism keeping him from being suspended. Where was Shanahan when Webber rammed Zetterberg's head into the boards a few years ago during the playoffs ??
Kronwall plays a physical game but he's not a dirty player trying to take somebody's kneecap out to deliberately injure. Has he ever had a hit that was questionable/borderline ? Yeah... but it going to happen to a lot of players that throw big hits.
And lastly... in terms of "answering on the ice" for his dirty plays that is ridiculous. There have been lots of great hitters who don't drop the gloves after every big hit they throw. And to say they should is silly. I didn't see Scott Stevens, Rob Blake, Kasparaitus, Konstantinov, etc... having to drop the gloves every time they made a big hit. Nor should they have to in order to please some of the Hawk fans that whine about it. - Vladdie_Kon1
I'm sure you don't think your namesake Vladdy was dirty either...and he was one of the dirtiest pieces of poop to ever lace them up. |

Wings fans normally never complain about any favoritism IMO. I was joking anyway. Kronwall deserved a game. I just hope the NHL can get consistent on these calls and it doesn't seem like such bullpoop when someone named ovi should get suspended just the same. |

So does Stammer finally show up now that Kronwall is suspended - poisondhearts37
2011: "Oh, it's first playoffs... go easy one him"
2014: "He just got back from injury... go easy on him"
2015: " .....????.... so, go easy on him, or you know nothing about hockey"
Let's see...
2011: Vinny, Marty and the third line from hell put team on back, 1 game shy of SCF. Stammer is average, with moments of showing growth.
2014: Bishop goes down, Lindback blows, Stammer is average, at best.
2015: Bishop is okay (not amazing), whole team plays okay, Johnson is apparently trying for the all-time points/goals record in the playoffs... Stammer is invisible.
If we get into round 2, and this continues, I am going on record with bringing up the question: Is Stammer maybe, just maybe, not a big-game guy?
Not saying he isn't, but the track record isn't looking great, thus far. I hope he proves that possibility wrong starting tomorrow night. |

He will look okay in a Leafs uniform if you don't want him.

There things I don't like about Coop but he's still the coach and Can be criticized, it goes with being in charge someone always has a better way or a different viewpoint, get over it. I think he was out coached as well but they're all young and learning, Coop only has 10 NHL playoff games under his belt, I'd like to see him more vocal with the Refs on calls- he seems to be calm and not willing to yell at them every once in awhile - maybe not his style but once in awhile it will pay dividends. - tpd11
Criticizing him doesn't mean I don't like him. It's clear that he has a ton going for him. And experience will only serve to benefit him in the long-run. |

EDIT:
Here's what I'm thinking: Reilly, Kadri and a 2nd for Stamkos and Sustr. |
