At least they didn't suspend Mrazek and force the Wings to use Howard |

Looks like they felt the hit wasn't legal after all. |

Game 7 anything can happen. I wonder who will replace Kronwall in the lineup Kindl or Marchenko. Babs hates Kindl so likely Marchenko even if he didn't look good in the last game he played. |

Unless the Wings come out motivated from this BS and shutout the Bolts again. |

That just wouldn't be fair, even if he did do something worthy of a suspension. |

All of the crying needs to stop. This is what we call an open ice hit. I know a lot of people get excited when a player crushes another against the boards, right. That's a big, huge hit. Try leveling an opposing player on open ice, little different. Takes a bit more of a man to do that. Scott Stevens said it best. When asked earlier in the season who currently playing reminded him of himself, he replied, "Detroits Niklas Kronwall". He said lining up a hit on open ice is so much more difficult than using the boards to paste an opponent, and he is right. He went on to say that there are few players that can truly hit on open ice. Thank you Mr. Stevens. I appreciate that from one of the best defenders Ive ever seen. And thank you Mr. Kronwall for keeping old time hockey a reality. Please forgive Tampa fans...after all they are Tampa fans. - jmarseph
Old time hockey?
Takes more of a man?
Jesus - what the Hell is wrong with you?
Don't you care about the safety of players - or the when a skater launches himself off the ice and leads with his elbow to the head of an opponent, serious injury is all too possible?

No injury, no penalty = suspension for game 7?
Fine, then apply it consistently to ALL infractions, not just the ones you choose to.
Palat hit?
Double team hit on Abdelkader?
Nothing?
What about the league's golden boy Subban? Not even a call with DoPS?

Subban should have been suspended for the slash - Ovechkin should be suspended - didn't see the other two you mentionned.
Don't know why Ribeiro wasn't suspended (or even penalized) when he punched Shaw in the face while Shaw was on the bench.
Come up with other similar bad hits and I'll say the same. |
