The way Nashville held up against Chicago and Weber's most recent injury, I do wonder if they're ready to unload that deal.

I thought Nashville did really well against Chicago... considering that they had like 6 players who legally couldn't rent a car in the u.s., let alone barely having any players that have had any real post season success. Weber's an animal and a beast of a human. Unless Nashville somehow manages to be a bottom feeder the next 2-3 seasons after the success they saw this regular season, they're not unloading any part of shea weber. I think that franchise has nothing but solid hockey for the next few seasons. They've built slowly, and for the most part, internally.

He's entering his 30's. They're thin at forward. His deal is massive. They have a number of solid defensive prospects. His latest injury could be severe.

Just curious, am I the only one who thinks claude Giroux plays a good, responsible 2 way game? Maybe I'm just fanboy'ing. Idk. every game I've ever seen him in throughout the years, he's been really solid without the puck. I feel like everyone thinks he's a one trick passing pony.

Those are good points, but if I'm poile, theres no (frank)ing way I'm unloading weber. He's a leader, he gives it his all, and he excels in just about everything as a defenseman (minus being mobile). If anything I'm dumping josi first, he'd get more return seeing he's more mobile, and he's younger.

The same way the Oilers, Blues and Ducks shouldn't have traded Pronger within the small span of years that they did?

I think he is definitely responsible in terms of making an effort to play both sides of the puck, and I think his defensive game is adequate. I also think he did improve somewhat in that regard this past season, but not to the point where his defensive game deserves praise beyond that.

Ah I see he was teammates with Kovalchuk and Patrick Thoresen. For a guy who only played 21 regular season games as a Flyer and never scored a goal, I will always love that dude.

Anybody else think Kronwall should be suspended for game 7?

Because even the NHL didn't know there was a team in Arizona.

its hard.

im having a hard time finding an angle that slows it down enough to where i can see it.

he definitely does seem to at least begin to leave his feet, which is a no no.

but i cant tell if he leads in with the shoulder or the elbow.

From what I've seen is it is a blow to the head whether it's a shoulder or an elbow doesn't matter. It's a predatory hit that served no other purpose but to crush a defenseless player. It's the kind of hit the league has to put a stop to. Kronwall has done it many times.

ill just leave it at that im having a hard time finding a conclusive look on it.

but yeah, i do agree that the kind of hit you are referencing is something that should be removed. and yeah. for as good as kronwall is, he has done those sorts of hits with a pretty high frequency.

Yeah, sometimes I feel like his forearm makes initial contact with the upper chest and sometimes I think he gets the head. I think I read that despite all of his huge (sometimes questionable) hits in the past, Kronwall hasn't been suspended before. No prior history of suspensions + no Kucherov injury + game 7 = no suspension

He has a hearing today, so we'll see what comes out of it. The right thing to do is suspend him. I'm also torn because I want TB to lose.
