I would be ok with that. Any coach with a winning record would be a plus. Knowing how to groom youngins would add to that.

There's reasons that both would be a good fit, I think. I think Richardson has done a really good job in Binghamton considering the Ottawa prospect pool isn't exactly full of a bunch of high end guys. But I like the fact that McLellan has lots of NHL experience.

I don't know. It's going to be a tough job for any guy. I don't really have a guy that I think the "have" to get. I don't know enough about it to make that kind of judgment I guess.

He told me he was with his friend from the Sabres and I asked about Babcock and that's when he mentioned Richardson. They seem to think Babcock stays with the Wings or goes to the Leafs where he can have control. Who knows as of now, money talks

I don't know a whole lot about Richardson either. I just know he's been the B-Sens coach for 3 years now and has a pretty decent record there. I know they've been a thorn in the side of the Amerks for a few years now.

I think if we were a bit further along in the rebuild that Babcock would have more interest, but I don't know that he wants to take on a project this size. Unless maybe Murray is going to give him a lot of say in things as well. They were both with Anaheim at the same time back before the full season lockout.
