Any #s geeks here ?

Anyone have the advanced Stats on Suter vs. Opponents Line 1 players ?

I know the universe loves Suter ... capable op playing 30 mins blah blah blah but I always seem him with the - against other teams big players and he was awful in the Olympics vs high end talent every shift.

There won't be anything that specific out there. Own the puck will have his hero chart, which says he's a second pair defenseman according to the numbers. Behind the net will have overall QoC stats but not performance vs QoC.

Something even more interesting about this goal: Anisimov (current NHL player) had the same opportunity from the other side of the ice just a minute later and both failed to gain separation and get a quality shot off. If that's a benchmark for who this kid can be, I'm excited. Would really like to see how he plays against the big boys of Canada/USA/Sweden though.

I don’t know how many of you get the NHL channel or care about things like the rebroadcast of the latest Gordie Howe tribute. It is on again tonight.
Basically Gordie is close to not there but his kids and various ex-NHL players arr at a dinner (filled with NHL dignitaries) talking about Gordie.

I am not so sure that Gordie even knows this is for about him.

I, a few days ago, made a reference to Corey Perry and the contempt the rest of the league has for in him in reference to Gordie.

I hate Gordie, hated Gordie, made sure he heard me call him “Blinky” every game he played in Chicago Stadium.

That doesn’t diminish who he was , what he did, and what a straight up “amazing” MF he was.

The reason I love this special was Dennis Hull makes reference to a really good freind of mine’s father Don Murphy,,,Dennis acknowledges that “Murph” tagged Bobby withe the GOLDEN JET nickname. My very good friend Kevin Murphy’s dad. His father was the guy that let me in the old Chicago Stadium press room during the draft, where I schooled the Chicago press on the draft.
I am still doing that with my 400 plus profile of the 2015 class.draft class on http://www.draftsite.com/nhl/mock-draft/2015/

That special on Gordie included Bobby Hull talking specifically about himself, his speciality, and some really fine stories.
I saw this guy play. He was a straight up B to play against…the stories are NOT some contrived legend…this guy was so freaking strong and basically so able to inflict pain that the player s on other clubs accepted it.

It is on tonight if anybody is interested…

Kevin Hayes could only sign an entry level deal and that had a maximum salary. If I remember correctly he only got $925,000 this year and it was a two-way deal.

This had nothing to do with money, it had to do with him wanting to play in New York.

He got a really big bonus too...Madison square size...the Hawk were nOT gonna do that because it would set a precedent ... he wanted to free Jeremy Morin on his Twitter account ab dget him playing time and he wasn't interested in competing for Blackhawk ice time so he went for the money and chance...boo freaking hoo.
Get over it.
