Okay so we know you guys are gonna have plenty so say if he signs with EDmonton.... So which will be the common troll theme:

A) Babcock isn't that great. Detroit was all Lidstrom and the Olympic teams were stacked.

B) Babcock has no experience with a young roster like the Oilers. He is the wrong coach.

C)Babcock is a great coach, and he will prove to the world that it wasn't Eakins fault by finishing in the bottom 3 again.

D) you can tell by the look on his face that it was his wife that made him sign in Edmonton, he will do his duty, but really, his hearts in Toronto .

E) good for EDmonton, but really, Hitchcock/McLelland/Muller/Eakins was always my first choice, so im glad he signed in Edmonton.

F) meh. He will find a way to get out from that contract right around the time the Leafs are ready to take it to the level, and sign with us.

It's a fantastic podcast, he tells the story really well.

I was wondering if some of you would recognize what I said. It's cool that others listen to it. Episode 6 is taking forever.

It usually takes him a few months to put everything together but its understandable given the amount of research he has to do. The fact checking along has to be crazy, then getting access to and digging through all the diaries and finding passages that correspond with the time has to be tiresome.

I used to listen to it traveling on the bus back and forth to work in the oil sands but haven't had much time to listen to the last two.

Even fans of other teams got attacked for not being part of the mob. It was a lot of fun, actually, reading people grasp for straws, and the faint sliver of hope that somehow, some way, McDavid will end on their team come draft day.

I imagine Babcock will not be as bad, but we'll be ready, just in case.
