Ok....well, pretty sure the Oilers will be a wee bit better in 3-5 years...which is around the time Nurse and Klefbom will be battling each other for the Norris. ![:)](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif) - Jeropotato

Nurse is the big name guy on the Soo so of course the announcers are sucking his Richard.. PP is part of the game chief and he's had more than his fair share of even strength and even sh points.. Kid is putting up 3-4 points a night matched up against Nurse... Nurse is a great prospect don't get me wrong but Mcdavid is on Different level gonna be top 10 in the NHL next year. - orienbrady22
Yeah McDavid is dominant on pp and scored a shorty. But even strength in the series Nurse is +1. McDavid is -2.
Nurse has been extremly effective at shutting him down this series. |

Some people seem to think so. If the Leafs take him I hope he gets a couple of seasons in the AHL first. - BetterCallSaul
Only if he needs it. I the idea of keeping guys in the minors just because is foolish |

Honorable mention to Lucic in there in terms of cap hit, though his contract is up next year... |

I don't think so. If the Leafs are as dysfunctional next season then I think it's important to keep your prospects away from that environment.
They did that this season. It wasn't foolish. |

Instead of replying to everyone ![](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/lol.gif) .. I may as well do this ..
I do indeed hope we take Hanifin. And I asked if he's NHL ready hoping we'd take him. If he's ready, I'd love him to be paired with Rielly right off the bat. If not, of course, a year in the AHL would help, but again, if ready, love to see him with the big club full time (not playing 12 mins a game) .
Many people said (on here) that this is only year 1, and we have many drafts to draft a potential #1 C , and as the days go by, I see that.
Out of the top 5 prospects next year, 4 are Centers, so why not take the best available dman this year? |

I also think that if there's a bunch of kids playing in the minors, and one or two are ready to make the jump, keep them down to continue to develop chemistry and camaraderie with the rest of 'em. |

They are rebuilding apparently. They won't be disfunctional or shouldn't be.
If he's ready to play in the nhl, you play him and let him grow with the team |

tis the general consensus - Dozzer
Bruce i'm not gonna lie here... I know they're kids and I really feel bad for that but I really hope whoever the leafs draft, they bring him up to early and end up ruining him until the fan base turns on him and he gets traded for spare parts only to come into his own and have a long prosperous career.
I mean I think that's probably everyone's expectation of what will happen but i really really want it to. |

Some posters here just want that 10 year void filled and see Strome sitting there. I agree with you, I'm hoping for Hanifin. I understand why people are so convinced the Leafs need a centre now, but I don't agree. I think it's a little short sighted to be honest. |
