I do indeed hope we take Hanifin. And I asked if he's NHL ready hoping we'd take him. If he's ready, I'd love him to be paired with Rielly right off the bat. If not, of course, a year in the AHL would help, but again, if ready, love to see him with the big club full time (not playing 12 mins a game) .

Many people said (on here) that this is only year 1, and we have many drafts to draft a potential #1 C , and as the days go by, I see that.

Out of the top 5 prospects next year, 4 are Centers, so why not take the best available dman this year?

Guys like Strome or Marner are decent #1 picks any other year.Besides Mathews next year i don't think the other prospects stack up to these two. We might not have a chance at a high end C like these two for a long long time.
